How Google AdSense Pays in India

44Shares

Google AdSense, one of the most popular monetization techniques used by bloggers, is always confusing for new users. Despite its easy-to-use dashboard and its help pages, there are always questions related to sign up, account approval, account ban, optimization and many others.

It is true that AdSense is a plug-and-play advertising network, but it is important that you  learn all you can about it so that you can take full advantage of the opportunity it presents, making a lot of money as opposed to pennies.

This is a question from Adithya:

“Can you tell me how AdSense Pays in India? Do they pay by cheque or through local bank transfer or EFT”?

AdSense Payment in India:

AdSense has different payment options for different countries. They support EFT transfer, Cheque facility and pay by Western Union Quick Cash. Especially in countries like India and Pakistan, getting an AdSense account is not as easy as it is in countries like the U.S., U.K. and Australia. This is mostly due to issues of spam and fake AdSense accounts in India.

In India, at the time of the writing of this post (June 2014), AdSense offers payment via Cheque and EFT, and they convert your earnings into INR and then make the payment. Usually, the AdSense USD to INR conversion rate is high, so you might not find this to be an issue. However, an AdSense cheque takes time to reach India (10-15 days), and it takes another few days for clearance.

The AdSense team is increasing payment options in many countries, and they have already added EFT payment for Indian publishers.

You can follow this guide to configuring electronic fund transfers for your Adsense account.

If you are a new AdSense user, here are few things which you should keep in mind:

  • While signing up, make sure all details are accurate (name, address, etc.)
  • Your name should be the same as  the name on your bank account. The name on your AdSense cheque will be the same as your account name.
  • AdSense will send a PIN number to you at the address you used when signing up. This works as an address verification too, prior to making a payment.
  • With AdSense EFT payment, you can receive payment to another payee name as well.
  • AdSense will soon add telephone support for all AdSense publishers. This system is already in beta testing at the time of the writing of this post, (June, 2014).
  • You can also refer to the official guide to read more about AdSense payment policies.
  • You can update your payment preference until the 20th of a given month.
  • You can also put a minimum payment threshold for your payment, and it should be greater than $100.

You can read an excerpt from the official AdSense India payment page below:

AdSense publishers in India will receive standard delivery checks mailed via the local courier service Blue Dart for no additional charge. Checks mailed by Blue Dart should arrive within 10-30 days of the check date. Blue Dart is not able to service all areas throughout India. If you live in a location, they don’t service, your check will be sent by Registered Post and should reach you within 2-3 weeks of the mailing date.

If the cheque is already issued, you can use Bluedart tracking to keep an eye on your cheque status. If you have not received your AdSense cheque within 60 days of the issue, you can use this form to request a re-issue of the cheque.

I hope this post has answered your questions regarding AdSense India payments. If you still have any further questions, feel free to ask me via comments.

hello sir, i want to know, was adsence ask our birth date for any process such as address verification or payment. my birth date on gmail account is 23-06-1998 and in bank 23-061999 (original). these is different in adsense and bank account. because Adsense needs at least 18 years for approval. and according to my original birth date i have 17 years old. so, i am confused.
in future, any problem should be come by the birth date issue??
    kindly waiting for reply

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      Hey Prasad,

of course, there will be an issue. You are not allowed for Google Adsense if you are not 18 yrs old. Have you already applied for Adsense or planning to apply?

You will be paid at the next eligible date once earnings exceed $100.00 and there are no other actions required to get paid… I am getting this info over the threshold tab.. I have set the threshold of $100 over there and also hold date as well. My finalized earning is $102.. Please let me know when will I receive the money to my bank account as I have set up wire transfer for payment.

    Hello Harsh sir,

I am ad-sense holder and my earning has reached about 90$/ But I have no Idea to transfer the money . But , when I created the ad-sense account , Google send the pin by postcard and I verified it success fully. So tell me. Will Google send me cheque on my verified address, If I have not set the wire transfer method?

I am unable to set the wire transfer method because My account is in Indusind Bank in Harayna Gurgaon Branch and SWIFT-BIC code is not available in this branch,

So suggest me what to do in this condition?

Should I contact Indusind bank customer care?
May I use other bank of other name account holder?
or Should I open a new account in ICICI or other bank who provides the swift-Bic code?

Kindly confirm me what to do? If you help me I will be grateful to you for this.

    Thanks !!

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      Hello Amit,

Yes, Google will send you cheque for the same. I would suggest you get your wire transfer activated. You should contact your customer care and ask for the SWIFT Code. if this branch does not have one, you can use the SWIFT code for the nearest branch of the same bank.

    Hello Harsh
From last 2 days I have been reading your posts and I found them very interesting and informative. But I have 2 questions. It would be really helpful if you can answer them. I started blogging 3 days ago (I did 6-7 months back also, but I got tired). Firstly I want to ask that I am running 2 blogs with totally same content on wordpress free blog and blogspot free blog. Will it increase my overall traffic or decrease it?
Secondly I wanted to ask that I have a website hosted on Wix with 1 year domain name contract, but Wix has very very bad page loading speed so my website is waste. Can I make use of that domain name for more traffic to my blog? But I want to inform you that domain name has almost 0 traffic.

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Siddhartha

      1) You should publish content only on one platform. When you are publishing same content on two different blogs, you are basically creating duplicate content issue.
      2) I think you can use that domain name if it allows redirection or change of DNS. I’m not well versed with Wix platform.

Is registered domain address is needed to get eligible for Adsense. I am using blog. and how much views should be there per day to get eligible for adsense. My blog is getting 3500 views/month. Can i apply for Adsense?

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Baskar
Having a custom domain name & professional email address is recommended. 3500 Views a month is good. You should apply for AdSense.

  11. mohit

    Whats mean Tax identification number?
If it is a important term than please describe.

    1. Ruben

Hey Mohit its a PAN card number they asked for.
Yes it is very much important in india,it confirms that you are 18+ and are eligible for blogging.

  12. Hemanth

What should adsense do when my threshold is not reached 100$ after a year? In adsence the max period to reach threshold and payout is 1 year…so what should I do if this happens?

  13. Ranjit Ranjan

    Hi Harsh,

My blog got adsense approval today and adds are also appearing on my site with complete details of RPM and clicks with page views and impression. But, under payment setting –> Available payment method section I am not seeing any option to add the account name where I can get the money transferred from Adsense. Please let me know will this option be available after it will cross threshold limit or few days?

    1. Akshay Lal

The option will available when you account balance reached 10$ after that AdSense will verify you address through pin verification

  14. Himanshu Singh

    Hello brother,
