Google AdSense, one of the most popular monetization techniques used by bloggers, is always confusing for new users. Despite its easy-to-use dashboard and its help pages, there are always questions related to sign up, account approval, account ban, optimization and many others.
It is true that AdSense is a plug-and-play advertising network, but it is important that you  learn all you can about it so that you can take full advantage of the opportunity it presents, making a lot of money as opposed to pennies.
This is a question from Adithya:
“Can you tell me how AdSense Pays in India? Do they pay by cheque or through local bank transfer or EFT”?
AdSense Payment in India:
AdSense has different payment options for different countries. They support EFT transfer, Cheque facility and pay by Western Union Quick Cash. Especially in countries like India and Pakistan, getting an AdSense account is not as easy as it is in countries like the U.S., U.K. and Australia. This is mostly due to issues of spam and fake AdSense accounts in India.
In India, at the time of the writing of this post (June 2014), AdSense offers payment via Cheque and EFT, and they convert your earnings into INR and then make the payment. Usually, the AdSense USD to INR conversion rate is high, so you might not find this to be an issue. However, an AdSense cheque takes time to reach India (10-15 days), and it takes another few days for clearance.
The AdSense team is increasing payment options in many countries, and they have already added EFT payment for Indian publishers.
You can follow this guide to configuring electronic fund transfers for your Adsense account.
If you are a new AdSense user, here are few things which you should keep in mind:
- While signing up, make sure all details are accurate (name, address, etc.)
- Your name should be the same as  the name on your bank account. The name on your AdSense cheque will be the same as your account name.
- AdSense will send a PIN number to you at the address you used when signing up. This works as an address verification too, prior to making a payment.
- With AdSense EFT payment, you can receive payment to another payee name as well.
- AdSense will soon add telephone support for all AdSense publishers. This system is already in beta testing at the time of the writing of this post, (June, 2014).
- You can also refer to the official guide to read more about AdSense payment policies.
- You can update your payment preference until the 20th of a given month.
- You can also put a minimum payment threshold for your payment, and it should be greater than $100.
You can read an excerpt from the official AdSense India payment page below:
AdSense publishers in India will receive standard delivery checks mailed via the local courier service Blue Dart for no additional charge. Checks mailed by Blue Dart should arrive within 10-30 days of the check date. Blue Dart is not able to service all areas throughout India. If you live in a location, they don’t service, your check will be sent by Registered Post and should reach you within 2-3 weeks of the mailing date.
If the cheque is already issued, you can use Bluedart tracking to keep an eye on your cheque status. If you have not received your AdSense cheque within 60 days of the issue, you can use this form to request a re-issue of the cheque.

Hello Harsh, I have a query regarding this. Do I need a NRI bank account to get my payments or a simple savings account of ICICI bank will do the job? In order to get my payments directly to my account. And also another query how much time does it takes to get the payment available in my account after they adsense have sent it?
@Mrinmoy
A simple Saving account from ICICI is ok. Usually it takes about 3 days.
Hi harsh,
I am from hyderabad. I have completed all three PIN request, but not yet received a single PIN code. I am getting more frustration about it. Somewhere I have seen that, verify adsense account without PIN. I don’t know what identification proof I have to submit. If I submit my identification proofs, is it works(verify) 100% or not. Please help me harsh.
You can submit your Aadhar card scan copy to adsense. It’s 100% working. Make sure your address in aadhar card and address in adsense profile page is same.

Hi!
I have thought of opening an AdSense account…but I don’t have a bank account…is there any way of receiving payment using Paytm or something????
@Subhradeep
Unfortunately you need a bank account to receive payment. Even with Paytm, the amount needs to be withdrawn to your bank account.
@HarshAgrawal
OK!
Thank you very much for the information…!
🙂
Hello sir sir I started my YouTube channel on 2nd June.i allow YouTube to show ads on my videos but while filling AdSense application it didn’t ask my bank details than how can I receive money plz rply fast…
Hay do I need pan card to receive payments
Hi,
I am new to adsense. Recently my account reached $10. So google started throwing an alert on my adsence dashboard saying that “Your payments are currently on hold because you have not verified your address.”
I have updated my wire transfer account details. I dont want to get a cheque as I am not staying in that address. Kindly suggest me how can I over come this issue??
Please give me genuine answers…
@Ram
Once you reach $10 (Which you did), you will be receiving a mail from Google via post to your physical address. In that post, your AdSense Pin will be there, which you need to add into your AdSense account. Instructions will be in the mail from Google. And, once you complete the threshold of $100, you will receive your first payment.
Thanks for the useful information. Google Adsense it really popular site, they should change their payment amount to 10$ because it is not easy for new blogger to earn 100$ instantly. So it will help new bloggers to motivate themselves.
hello harsh,
i have a small doubt. If any one purchased a item through on my Google Ad in my website ?

Should I require compulsory of PAN to withdraw adsense earnings via EFT?
Hi harsh,
I have a adsense account approved recently and i am having below problem.
Currently under payment method it shows ‘none selected’ and gives an edit option under which i get only one option of direct transfer (where in i have to give account number,ifsc and swift info), why is it so that i am not seeing standard check delivery option? (i am from india only )
I think initially i had choosen standard check delivery (but i am not sure about that and have forgotten whether i had selected that or not) if i had choosen that option then it should show that in payment method but it shows ‘none selected’. I am confused and hope you can help me here.
Hello Harsh
First of all I want to thank you for such a nice and well written article and second is what I want to ask you a question that : I am new to Adsense that is from April 2014 and I listen and also read many times that the EFT is available for Indians but I am not aware of the fact that there is now only EFT mode available for Adsense in India
Is it true as for a kind of reason I want my first payment to be arrived by Cheque and there is no option for cheque available there is only one option available that is EFT or the Cheque option will be available only after my earnings reach $100 as for now I am having only 92$ as finalized earnings and rest are carried up on for next month with a total of 102$
Waiting for your reply please reply that can I get my payment through Cheque or not or is there EFT only scope for Indian Adsense users
@Aayushi
For indians, both the options are available. I’m not 100% certain, but I believe cheque option will be available once you reach minimum $100 threshold. You can post screenshots of payment option, and I can have a look.
I hope in future they will update payment methods for India as Indian adsense users are increasing every day and make sure to get payments in INR instead of US $ for faster clearance. Receiving of PIN for conformation of Address is strange I
after 3 weeks of not receiving PIN I applied for 2nd pin request and few days after I got my first PIN and in within 10 days I got second PIN so now I have 2 PIN letters haha.
Well I am not a blogger I am a YouTuber but adsense is linked for both .
