Once you are finished writing an SEO-optimized post using your target keywords, your next task is to keep track of its search engine rankings and to continue building backlinks with the proper anchor text.
**Again, proper keyword selection is one of the main factors involved in achieving a better ranking in Google’s search engine.**
Every blogger must aim to use the keywords which users search the most, especially those keywords which will help your website show up on one of the first few pages of search results.
If you accomplish proper on-page SEO, chances are good that you will appear in the first 50 search results.
To improve your SEO, you must manage keywords properly so that you can find out which keywords are strong for your particular domain and which are not. This information allows you to work on using the strongest keywords, thus increasing your likelihood of getting a better ranking in Google and other search engines.
To accomplish this goal, you need a tool that can tell you where a specific keyword ranks in Google’s search results without manually going through hundreds of search results and pages.
To help you do this, we have compiled a list of some excellent free online tools to check your target keyword position in Google.

Hi Harsh Bhai,
Thanks for sharing this article My question is about the data accuracy. I have used all the above tools in all the tools I can see different rank Position.
Here are a few things you could do to ensure you get accurate data in all the tools:
Set the geolocation to ensure the data is fetched from the same location. All these tools let you set location and its important that you do add a state along with the country. For example, if you are trying to see keyword ranking on east coast and west coast (In the US) might be different. Setting a location will direct these rank tracking tool to use the IP of your desired location. This helps in better data accuracy
Let me know how this solution works out for you!
Hi, Nice Article on checking Keyword Ranking.
Semrush is good. If we talk about paid tools, I like Ahrefs over to Semrush. As a freeware, Ubersuggest is always a good choice.
Keep up the Good Work Bro.
SEMrush and Ahrefs are definitely 2 of my favorite tools for blogging. Every blogger who takes his/her blog seriously should have both of them, for sure.
Although they are very similar tools in certain aspects, each one of them performs better than the other one in certain functionalities. For instance, I love SEMrush for keyword research and site audits, also to keep track of my rankings and competitors. In the other hand, I find Ahrefs to work much better when it comes to finding competitors backlinks, link building opportunities to rank better, which is also very important.
I’m not familiar with the other tools you’ve mentioned here, but I’ll definitely take a look at them since I like to take advantage of every little recommendation I see at SML.
Thanks for sharing!
These are all really great tools! I use SERPs rank checker for quick one-off checking and AHREFS for regular long term projects. I like AHREFS because it gives me the keyword tracking and link building progress snapshot all in one place.
