How To Enable Direct Bank Transfer for AdSense Payment in India

21Shares

Earlier when I shared about how Google AdSense pays in India, I talked about AdSense is planning to enable EFT payment for Indian AdSense users. EFT (Electronic fund transfer) payment will ensure your AdSense earning will directly deposit into your bank account, and most important you don’t need to wait for receiving the check and check clearance time.  As an AdSense publisher, this feature is beneficial and making our work paperless. In this tutorial, I will explain everything you need to for enabling EFT payment for your AdSense account.

How to Configure Wire transfer for Indian AdSense publishers

This whole setup process will not take more than 15 minutes, and I highly recommend you to do that to save time for future payment. Follow the steps mentioned below and keep your mobile phone handy, as you might need to call your bank customer care to get the IFSC and Swift code. Along with Direct bank deposit feature, now you can also specify the payment threshold and hold your payment for up-to one year. So, let’s get on with our quick guide for enabling EFT payment for your AdSense account.

  • Log in to your AdSense account and Click on the gear box and select payments.
  • Click on Payment settings under payment page.
  • Click on add a new form of payment.

On the next screen, you need to enter your bank account details. There are two details which you need to get from your bank. (IFSC code and Swift BIC code). To get the IFSC code and Swift code for your account, simply call your bank customer care and ask for it. In my case, I’m using ICICI bank Saving bank account, and I have used following Swift code to receive payment: ICICINBBNRI. If you are calling ICICI bank, they will provide you with two swift code CHASUS33XXX for USD and ICICINBBNRI for INR. You need to enter the Swift code for INR and conversion will be taken care by your bank. This may change if you are using any other bank account, so I suggest you re-confirm it from your bank customer care. For ICICI Bank current account, you need to use ICICINBBCTS

  • Save

Click on save payment, and that’s it. Now you will receive money directly from your bank account and here are few more details which you need to know about updated AdSense Payment policy:

  • You can update your payment method until 20th of any month.
  • You can now use any AdSense payment threshold greater than minimum ($100) payment.
  • You can hold your payment until any specific date; maximum up to 1 year. (Though I discourage you to use this feature, as you might face issue if AdSense decide to ban your account).

Over all, direct bank deposit feature is already making the life of many Indian AdSense publishers easy, and if you have not updated your Payment option, it’s time to log into your AdSense account and update payment settings.

FAQ about AdSense EFT Payment:

  • Q. What is the minimum payment threshold for EFT payment?
  • A. Minimum payment threshold is $100
  • Q. Is Pin verification mandatory after AdSense introduced EFT payment?
  • A. Pin verification is mandatory process from AdSense to verify your address, so yes; it is!

Hello Harsh, Before I was living in canada when I opened my adsense account and now I moved to India. There is around 22 $ in my account. My address is not being verified. So Can I change my country to India in My Adsense account?? One more question is I heard that If you want to change your country you have to delete your existing adsense account and have to create new one and then you can get your desired address and country. So if I do so, Will I lost all my earning??? Is there any way to get paid whatever earning are in my account. I also have canadian bank accounts and can also have friends who can receive address pin and can send me.

    I am using SBI account.
Added all details except intermediary bank and FFC or FBO because i read in a site that those were not necessory for some banks as google will find those by themself.
After giving other details, i saved it.
    What should i do next?

  7. Sir, I have my account in bank of india (BOI) , I am confused whether Google can transfer there or not. Can I get my payment in my (BOI) account?

  8. ashish jain

can i request eft payment to my business account via adsense .
    what is intermediary bank

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      Hey Ashish,

AdSense payee name and the name in the bank account in which you want to withdraw money should be same. If your business account is in your name then you can otherwise you cannot.

An intermediary bank is a bank that acts on behalf of the beneficiary bank. Payments will reach the intermediary bank before being credited to the beneficiary (in this case, you are the beneficiary).

      1. Sumit

Hi Harsh I’m confused can I change adsence payment details or not? I’m using my brother’s adsence account in my blog and got payment in his account…can I add my bank details to receive the payment for next time?

        1. Harsh Agrawal

          @Ssumit
I haven’t tried it, but I see there is an option to add more bank account details & account holder name could be anything.
          Login to AdSense account
          Go to Settings > Payments
Add new payment method & see if it works for you or not!
Do come back and share your experience with us.

Now from last one month I used a Youtube channel and I uploaded lots of videos on my channel now I want to monetize my Youtube channel with Adsense but I don’t want to use that gmail account which is disapproved for my blog. I created a new gmail account and I want to use this new gmail account to monetize my Youtube channel ?? can I do it??
Google Adsense policy said that Two Adsense account same payee name are not allowed but I have no adsense account because my first application from another gmail account was rejected or disapproved. Now I confused please help

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      Hey Satyajit,

You can use your original email id to apply. Your previous account rejection will not matter.

  11. Arun

Hi, a small side question –

Adsense has been sending me payments to my HDFC bank account. And HDFC always does USD to INR conversion with one rupee lesser. E.g. if current dollar-rupee rate is 66.5, HDFC only gives 65.5. Is this normal with all banks? Since you mentioned ICICI at the top, hoping you had some experience with them 🙂

Hi…one articular from google “Please make sure the payee details you enter in your payee profile in your AdSense account match exactly the beneficiary bank details of the account holder” these means should address also be matched with bank profile address or if only beneficiary name is enough? plz help me.

    1. Harsh Agrawal

It means that your AdSense payee name and the name in the bank account in which you want to withdraw money should be same.

  17. Sudesh

Today (26 July 2016) I received a call from ICICI bank that now a current bank account is a must to receive wire transfer. I have been using savings bank account so far without any problems. But the executive explained that I am providing advertising services and because of this it is business and business related wire transfers must be made under current account. Would you please explain why Adsense publishers need current account?

    1. Utkarsh Tripathi

Please Answer This Question, As my adsense earnings are going to saving bank account ( Not Current Account ), In filling Tax return for adsense earning, is it mandatory to have current account.

  18. ILY

    Hi Harsh,

I previous month update my AdSense account payment method same as you guidelined in this article.

After it when i reached $100 and google AdSense also send me a payment.

But i can’t received after 25 days yet.

Hi Harsh, I’m regular follower of your blog and have learned a lot from your posts.

I have one question, Can I receive payments in Current Account from an “Individual AdSense account”?

Currently I’m receiving in Saving Account.

        Please do reply.

        1. Harsh Agrawal

          Hey Rajesh,

If the current account is in your name then you can receive payment in that. Go to settings, payments and edit the details.
