It’s been a long since I have posted my last blogging income report, and here I’m posting it again for the sake of new bloggers, who are looking forward for more ways to earn from blogging. Moreover, this also helps me to set a higher goal for upcoming-months.
The past few months have been lots of ups and down’s for many of my blogs, as I’m learning many new things, and implementing it. One of the best things which I did in the last couple of months is, changed one of my micro-niche blog monetizations from AdSense to Affiliate, and picking the right affiliate product increased my earning from that blog by 150%.
I will be sharing all of my learning, and experiences like always, but, for now, let’s look at the blogging earning report for the month of July 2013. Do remember, I’m only adding a report for payment I got from various networks last month. For AdSense, I’m sharing the total revenue generated in the month of July.
ShoutMeLoud Income report for July 2013:
AdSense earning was quite low last month, due to disabling of the ad for one of my micro-niche blog (which later enabled), and still one of my blog (ShoutMeTech) is facing AdSense ban due to placement violation (Blah!).
Also, check out:Â My AdSense earning report for 4 years
- Google AdSense: $358
- Skimlinks : $31.27
- Viglink: $42.71
- Elegant Themes: $83.50
- Dreamhost Affiliate program: $56.52
- Knownhost: $23.72
- Direct Ads: Â $945
- Other Affiliate programs: $5340
- WordPress Services: $452
- Webhosting and domain business: $114
————————————————————–
- Total: $7446.72
In the last few months, I have stopped offering WordPress services for new clients, and only giving services to existing clients. I’m shifting to a self-serving model from the service model, to ensure that I get a better return for my time. Though I will continue the Free WordPress setup program and SEO consultancy, until a few products which are in pipeline is launched. Here is a screenshot of my PayPal account for the last month:
I will be sharing all the details when I have something concrete to share. I hope this earning report will help you to find new ways to monetize your blog, and earn more from it. Also here are some of the top articles from last month:

Hi Harsh,
Can you put some light on “my blog (ShoutMeTech) is facing AdSense ban due to placement violation (Blah!).” as in what was the reason and some tips to avoid this kind of bans. So that we guys doesn’t do the same mistake..
Thanks!
@Sushen
Even I’m not sure why it happened, as I was using one 468*60 ad unit @header and one below post title. I guess it was because of confusion between ads and first image in the post. Trying to get my domain unbanned, and hopefully I will some good news to share soon.
Hi Harsh,
I use the same placement like what you mention.. Is it my website also will have a risk to get banned? Do you know how I can get Adsense Team to review my ads placement?
Thanks.
This report is an example , that how one can earn good amount of cash without having Adsense account.
Awesome, quite inspiring. Very curious to know what affiliates program bring lots of money in your site 😉
Thanks for sharing. Can you please tell me how can i monetize my technology blog which is 3 months old
Well you are obviously making progress…. Great !!!
superb income. You are earning more with direct advertisement. But how I can see only 1 direct ads in your site.
Anyway awesome income, hope I will reach atleast 10% of this income some day. 🙂
Thats really great good figures , if you dont mind can you tell us why there is drop in google adsense earning
@Pavan
I answered it above… Check my response to @vivek.
I have a feeling this is going to be your most popular post of the month. Congratulations on your earnings. Very nice affiliate income you got there. Your Adsense earnings aren’t too bad either considering the fact that you’re only running one ad.
It would be nice to have a look at your traffic stats too for the next income report.
Keep up the good work Harsh!
@Mia
Thanks for your comment, and I will make sure that I will add traffic report in the next month report. 🙂
We are looking for this…It seems your AdSense earning dropped 50% from your last income reports…:( Your affiliate marketing skills are mindblowing…:)
@Vivek
Yah AdSense is pretty low compare to last report.. I guess it’s coz of less traffic due to Panda for my other blogs….And more over I’m not focusing more on other blogs in the network… Hopefully in coming days, I will be able to pay more attention to other blogs too…
Harsh,
I am one of your direct visitors, coz i can count on you for the fact that I will get the solution to my blogging problem on SML.
Regarding your comment above, “I guess it’s coz of less traffic due to Panda for my other blogs…” I think I am also suffering because of that. Please help me overcome this problem. What should I look into to heal the wounded pages due to this update?
@Aditya
Panda is like a disease which can go away with extreme care, and fixing everything related to your site. Older your site is, it gets more tougher to get out of it. If you have a niche site, recovery process will be faster. I have written this complete guide, which I implemented at ShoutMeLoud, and it helped me to recover: https://www.shoutmeloud.com/how-to-recover-from-google-panda-effect.html
Hope this will help.
For other blogs, the only excuse I have is: I’m too lazy for now, to implement my tricks on own Panda affected blog, and that’s the reason I stopped working on them. Instead, I started working on more niche oriented blog (Cydiaguide.com), which is giving better result in term of traffic and revenue…
Finally I’m Waiting your Income report since long time . Always inspired me to work hard
Thank You Sirji 🙂 🙂 🙂
Probably if you have expanded the Other Affiliate Program earning, that would be better. Still $8k per month is great earning.
@Harsh bro Great to see your earning report. I was eagerly waiting for it. This month was great for me. I was struggling since 1 years and was unable to make money. Just got an awesome strategy in the month of May and made a lot during these months. Blogging is all about doing something innovative and searching for the perfect strategy.
@Narender
I completely agree with you.. Learn from others, and mix it with your own strategy to make it big.
Hey Narendar can you say about the strategy because i’m also having no earnings from my blog from the last year
Can you please tell what the placement violation was on your ShoutMeTech blog so that I can adhere to Adsense policies
oh thanks man plz post your income on regular basis it inspire me a lot
Only $358 from google adsense :O my frns are making $2000+ with simple troll site !! [Alone from adsense]
@Venkat
AdSense is not the major monetization technique I use. If you would notice, here at ShoutMeLoud I have only one AdSense ad unit.. This is one reason, you will never see a good AdSense figure from my side..But result will be diff for other monetization technique I use..
Exactly I totally agree with your Point here, we should find the niche of our blog and select the ad network according. It could be affiliates more than adsense, it totally depends on how you get your blog placed with the readers.
Hi Harsh Agrawal, thanks for sharing you income, plase can you explain better the “placement violation” to teach us what not-to-do, to avoid this kind of adSense ban? Thanks!
@Francesco
I have already mentioned few stuff not to do with your AdSense account over here: https://www.shoutmeloud.com/10-simple-mistake-which-violate-google-adsense-policies-and-get-banned.html
In my case it was more of a confusion, as my ad placement (468*60 below post title) was getting too close to first image of the blog post…
Google Adsense does not allow to place adsense in this way which are unable for user to distinguish between your contents and ads. So if you add a label “Advertisement” or “Sponsored” with all ads unints then it is less chance for your account to be banned. Try to avoid place images along with google adsense with same size. Hope so this will help you to avoid Google adsense Placement Violation.
Such an inspirational post! Thanks for sharing. Seeing such amount earned is more of a success than bank balance.
Great share. this report is really making the internet business look very awesome.
This is a head up 😀
Hi Harsh,
