Blogging becomes a global phenomenon where people use to write articles on their blog and share it on various social networking and bookmarking sites. But many times we see that bloggers fail to take their blog to the next level that is to make it successful. Thus many times I think about a driving force that is necessary to push any blogger to the next level. This driving force is known as  “Passion”.

Starting phase of blogging is full of challenge, pressure and hard work. I talked to many bloggers about their initial phase of blogging career. All of them agree that starting phase is the toughest phase of blogging. No one makes money soon by any present advertisement programs. Thus, Passion is the most important factor that helps me move forward without thinking about money and any other distracting factor.

Here I am discussing few factors that make me passionate about blogging, and I am sure that if you are a passionate blogger, you might feel the same.

What makes Blogging my passion?

I am keen to learn new things

When I started blogging, I was not aware of any basics of blogging such as SEO, blogging platform and the basics of writing. I always learned from my mistakes and I tried to become better with time. Since I started my blogging career with ShoutMeLoud blog network, every day I learn a new thing and which helps me get the more positive attitude towards blogging.

I am in another world when I blog

We all have the personal life, and we do have ups and downs in life but when I start blogging, I just forget all other things of the world. It’s just fun to be a  part of the blogosphere and to interact with online blogger friends. A day spent without blogging feels awful, and I always want to get back to blogging as soon as possible. In short, I’m addicted to Blogging.

I don’t care about time

Just like other newbies even I have to learn a lot about blogging that needs time thus since I started blogging, I try to spend more time to learn new things and share with readers. Late night working, leaving social contacts becomes a part of blogger when he/she want to improve the intensity of work and that’s where passion comes in picture.

Money is secondary factor

I won’t deny the fact that money doesn’t matter for any work but when it comes to blogging, money is always a secondary part for me. For me, it is always a priority to keep on improving myself as a blogger and believe me if you are passionate you don’t need to worry about money, it will follow you for sure.

Must read:

No shortcuts to achieve success

Blogging requires time because blogging is not only about writing articles.  It also includes the social presence, SEO, driving traffic that requires time and patience. For me, blogging is my career, and if I want to succeed, I can never choose unethical ways to achieve success. Passion is about working hard and smart in an ethical manner.

These were few factors that make me feel that I am passionate about blogging. Do share what are the factors which show your real blogging passion? I would love to know from you.

Was this helpful?

    Hi WHIZTECHY

It is another great post by you.

I think passion is what takes through everything either it is blogging, any sport, fitneess program , hobby etc. It makes look things easy which are otherwise difficult to acheive.

    Thanks

Writing a blog for success is one thing but did you know that its of no rank value on Google unless the domain your writing on has a high authority like 40+ to really be able to be able to reap any SEO benefits. i learnt this after a very long time. A simple overlook!

Passion is important in any domain and any work you do. I don’t know others, but I can’t do something that I don’t like. Or if I do it, it might be for a very short period.

I guess that in blogging the passion towards your goal is the most important and it depends a lot on the niche of your blog. For example, I am working full time as a legal advisor, but I am also a web developer. So I split my blog in 2 with the following idea: I need to come up with the concepts that you can’t find nowhere about law and which you learn only with practice. Consider it a way of promoting actually my work and my interest in this domain. The second part it’s about what I like to do in my free time: freelancing.

Having though 2 niches in my website (actually 3 if you take in consideration the law articles written in my native language), it’s hard to keep up with everything, but I’m more interested in the impact towards the readers and how they react to my posts. Their answer through comments and emails gives me power to continue, even the negative ones, because in this way I learn how to perfect myself.

In my opinion, from here comes the passion, exactly from the main reason of wanting an blog. What exactly is the aim of your blog, website, store, magazine? Make money? Nothing it’s free in life and you need to work for them. Self promotion? You need to work for it. Happiness? Probably a generic word, but you have to work for it considering what is actually the happiness for you.

Let’s assume another thing: you have your 9-5 job, you wake up in the morning and you say to yourself: “Oh damn, another day of work…” and you go to work and make some papers and you feel bad and the single thing that you want is to be home. There is no passion, there is no interest in doing it right, there is no motivation. But you have to do it because sometimes life puts you to make some harsh decisions in life. But here comes the thing: you will find your passion, you will find your own type of happiness sooner or later. And when you will find it, you will start to put passion, you will start to work for your goal and be happy with your work, you will enjoy even the bad reviews because you will realize that those are the ones which are making the difference between people: you will probably have to improve yourself. And you will do it! All depends on you, on your dream and goal. So go for it, don’t waste your time, find your passion, find your motivation and be EXTRAORDINARY in what you do! Period!

Hi, Whiztechy, I found your article informative, but what I discovered is that, nowadays, if you will blog with passion only, you will be too patience because blogging is too competitive and getting unique visitors is not that easy.
But truly, Passion is essential, its just like a Centrifugal force.

  5. Sugato

Nice article. Agree fully about passion and the starting pace (and exhaustion!), but the challenge of finding readers “out there” to read and more importantly to stay is pretty severe, given the gazillion sites one sees. The blogger can only “stay” if one can cleverly, innovatively and diligently promote ones field/area/zone to those who will care….or if one is really dogged at the same time

  6. Kundan Raj Bhattarai

Hi Whiztechy. Nice article. Really if you are passionate about something then you don’t care about time. You can spend whole day reading or working on it. You will always be able to explore more and find new ideas. You can always find time for your passion. You wake up early in the morning or you can work until late night.

  7. Li-Or

I couldn’t agree more with your point of how important passion is. If you don’t have the passion, and other driving forces like money from your blogging is uncertain, what force will keep you going with you blogging project at it’s most difficult times?

The “being in another world” you describe is known as “being in a state of flow”. It’s a known state of being when you do something you truly love. You lose all track of time and don’t even notice when hours have gone!

As for your question: I think we know when we’re truly passionate about blogging (or anything else) when time, money and what others think – all these factors become not so important any more. If you’d do this thing you’re passionate about even if you weren’t paid, and even if others don’t think highly of it – you know it’s something you’re passionate about 🙂

  8. Pritam Nagrale

Seriously, these points are something that make you very passionate about blogging but only few bloggers follow these factors. Even if they follow in the start, they tend to lose the focus with the time.
Many of the people start blogging with great enthusiasm but they gets motivated with time. The main reason behind this is that their main aim for blogging is money and when they see they are not earning much, they stop blogging.

  9. Wasim ismail

One of the main passion should be, Passion for the niche and your market and topics. If your passionate about that everything else will flow though normally with ease.

    1. Whiztechy

Well said Wasim, It is most important factor to have passion for nice unless anyone can lose interest in blogging easily.

  10. Mohammed Fouzan A

I also blog but just as a hobby but dont have much visitors to it. Probably I blog for sharing knowledge.

    1. Whiztechy

Starting blogging as a hobby is best part and don’t worry about traffic, Mohammed it will increase with time for sure.

    1. Whiztechy

Yeah Seenu, early phase of blogging career is really painful. When I started blogging there used to sleepless nights and still it takes lots of consistency to move ahead with blogging. But at the end of day it feels satisfied that I am into blogger career. Hope others feel same.

  13. Codrut

How come everybody has not passion to blog but… need!

Since talking with newbie bloggers on a regular basis, they all ask me…

how can I start a blog to make money… fast!

The solution for these people would be to look at blogging seriously, with passion, pick a niche , topic or industry where they’re willing to learn/find more about, longer-term… and stick to it.

And oh, before I go — avoid starting a blog after you quit your day job. Start a blog while you work. And get up at 5 a.m. (if you’re not doing it already) — you won’t believe how much you can learn (and do) within one or two hours ,. before you go to your job!

    1. Whiztechy

Totally Agree Codrut, even I have seen bloggers who quit job before having a good running blog. Quitting job first increases the chances lose patience easily thus it is always recommended that one should start blogging while continuing day job.

  19. Sathish @ TechieMania

Hi Whiz, wonderful article. I will completely agree with the first two points. My passion for learning new things and improving my knowledge makes me a blogger and that’s what I am giving back as articles in my blog.
