Yeah Shafar, but I guess its better not to un-follow in bulk. Many of professional bloggers don’t follow everyone but they really tweet useful stuffs. Thus, its good to follow them even if they are not following us.
First of all, if u want to unfollow all in bulk twitter will ban your account forever
The biggest problem I have found with the list mentioned above is their unfollow limit. After a certain number of unfollowing every1 asks for payment. But I have found one which does not ask for payment and you can get the full list of non-followers at one go. The app is http://unfollow.2et.in

Great I’ve been looking for a tool to clear out the people who I follow but don’t follow me. I’ve got a fair few hundred so was not relishing the prospect of having ot do it manually.

Isn’t it just better to use socialoomph [dot] com where you can schedule your status updates, auto follow your followers and auto unfollow, get alerts for DMs, etc all in one place. Ever since I started using it, I never felt the need to use any other tool.
Yeah Sammy, SocialOomph is one of my favorite also and at Shoutmeloud we have already covered it. But there are few Twitter user who don’t find it user-friendly because of its lots of features, thus thought of sharing few tools which are easy to use.

Thanks for this great list of free tools. But are they really safe to use? I’ve heard stories about twitter suspending accounts if you mass unfollow a bunch of people. Does anyone know if this is true?
Hey Steve, don’t worry this tools are very safe to use. Anyways we don’t unfollow twitter users everyday, so there is no harm in using these tools whenever we start feeling that we are following lots of unwanted Twitter users.
These tools can be useful but I think, the best method is doing it manual. Because sometimes, we loose some important peoples.
I have been using TweetAdder for some months now after trying TweetSpinner. I find TweetAdder a lot less aggressive plus the advantage of using Automated Tweets over several accounts also appeals to me. You can set it to unfollow incrementally as well. And TweetDeck is the best tool I have ever come across for monitoring Twitter. It does an awesome job of filtering out those followers who’s Tweets you don’t wish to see but you wish them to remain on your followers list. A higher number of followers gives credibility to your account when viewed by the untrained user.
Absolutely thrilling information. I was just wondering why my twitter lists of followers keeps going up and down I seemed to have waited an eternity to go past 1000. I then went up to 1227 and now its showing 1085. In this way I’ll never move forward rapidly-Whats wrong?
It’s also about quality connections. I personally believe the magic number to begin a recruitment campaign is around 2.5 – 3K followers. At 1% per day that’s 25 – 30 who will look at your opportunity (not just click on it and leave). Of those maybe 1 0r 2 will elect to go further.
Of 3000 followers I might filter out 1500 on the way to that figure so I don’t see their tweets. But 3000 would look impressive to anyone looking to see how many I have. So far I have 900 using automated software. Oh and on that subject TweetAdder released Version 3 this week. I prefer the older program but I will get used to it.

I paid to be a premium user for the just unfollow tool. Totally worth the $4 something it cost me. Got rid of a bunch of deadbeats in no time flat.
Untwitted does not work at all…. It simply says you dont need to unfollow anybody when infact I need to!
Untwitted does not seem to work. I know there are several people who I follow but don’t follow me back. It says differently.
