WordPress Plugins To Get Email Subscribers

Earlier, I talked about the importance of having a newsletter for your blog. I also mentioned that, out of all of the essential subscription options, you should focus on getting email subscribers.

It doesn’t matter if you are using ConvertKitAWeber, GetResponse, or any other service to build your email list, you should keep working on it.

Email lists are one of the essential parts of a blog, and I have already talked about this in detail:

Undoubtedly, building an email list can be a BIG asset for your online business. But the problem is that most new bloggers don’t know how to grab their audience’s attention to make them subscribe.

If you want to get more people to subscribe to your blog, you first need to have a compelling offer.

After that, you need a good plugin.

5 WordPress Plugins To Grow Email Subscriber List:

Here are 5 awesome WordPress plugins to help grow your email list.

1. ConvertPlus WordPress Plugin

This world-class WordPress popup plugin comes with more than 12 distinct visitor behavior triggers and over 10 different popup display positions.

What’s more! You’ll get over 100 professionally designed readymade templates aimed to boost your conversion rate.

This globally acclaimed plugin offers some must-have features including opt-in popups, exit popups, video popups, slide-in popups, embedded forms, social popups, info bars, two-step opt-ins, user inactivity trigger, repetition control, page-level targeting, referral detection, import & export etc that are sure to take your email subscription list to the next level.

The plugin offers you 10+ popup display positions, 12+ different visitor triggers and filters, and 100+ pre-designed and high-converting templates.

2. Icegram – Free

The Icegram free plugin offers some amazing features that you will hardly find in any other free WordPress plugin. You can create popups, messenger popups, action bars (bottom or top), and toast notifications. From a collection of six beautifully designed popups, you can create one according to your preference. There are some drawbacks though such as the absence of a visual builder and the inability of customizing button colors and backgrounds, which mean your choice will be restricted to the templates offerings.

However, Icegram makes it extremely easy to create targeted campaigns. You can configure the appearance of a popup including after what time, on which pages, between what dates and on the devices it should be displayed. What’s more! Icegram works with almost all email marketing software and all lead/form capture plugins.

3. OptinMonster

OptinMonster is one of the most popular email marketing WordPress plugins available.

OptinMonster can also be used by non-WordPress users, but for now, let’s focus on how you can use it for your WordPress blog.

OptinMonster offers various kinds of subscription boxes that can be used to capture the emails of your readers. In January 2016, I tried their full-page Welcome Gate & the results were astonishing.

The conversion rate was 4.09% (which is above average):

One thing which I really like about OptinMonster is its user-friendly interface & their ’round the clock support.

You don’t have to be technically savvy to create a subscription popup as you can use their ready-made subscription box & personalize it to your website.

Most of plugins you have shared here are new to me. I have been using OptinMonster for long time. It is a great plugin to increase subscriber list within a short period of time. Thanks for awesome share.

    Hi Harsh,

I am big an of Hello bar and Sumome but since Sumome provides all the option, I prefer to have only one plugin to take care of website speed. Sumome is much better and feature rich tool than others and I have thoroughly enjoyed using it so far.

    Hello Harsh
Wow! all these plugins have got fantastic features. The two plugins I liked most are the Pippity and Hellobar and looking to purchase these plugins and installing them in my web browser for increasing the number of E-mail subscribers. But I recently read one article saying that too many plugins affect the server speed and degrade the performance of the websites. So, I want to ask that these plugins also affect the performance of server or website speed? Do reply me as I am too curious to use these fantastic plugins

  11. Imran Soudagar

I have used Hello Bar on my blogs but then I removed as it takes lot of space and makes the blog design look crappy.

  12. gourav singh

i like the optionmaster but it is available in free version or i have to pay something and after that for a beginner it would around 1 months can i use this or i have to wait suggest me ….@harsh

Nice list Harsh, But I am little confused that does design matter for those people who actually want to subscribe to your content. If someone likes my content then I don’t think pop up design or location will matter for him. I admit that subscriber box should be clearly visible to visitor but except that I feel rest will depend only with content.

Let me know If I am missing anything.

    1. Gulshan Kumar

      Hey Deepak,
Well, Even after great content, Some time people read, go back. Few people are not aware even, what is email subscription! It is better to show them to let them know that you have such good facility, then it worthy to show them. If this kind of website elements will be in above the fold or at exit moment with interesting title, it will increase the chances of people subscribing. It is not only just for subscribe, it’s also attracting target audience by delivering freebies 🙂
