I have been an affiliate partner with Hostgator for more than four years now. Every month I make around $1200 from Hostgator’s affiliate program. If you are new to Hostgator, you should check out our Hostgator review.
Hostgator offers unlimited hosting with quality customer support, and being a user of Hostgator myself, I have no hesitation in referring someone to Hostgator. Indeed, this is a win-win situation for me. I recommend one of the finest shared hosting services to people, and every successful referral makes a minimum of $50 for me.
Have you ever considered that instead of paying for hosting, you could make money from Hostgator’s hosting service?
Like most other hosting services, Hostgator offers an affiliate program.
Hostgator affiliate program Review:
Hostgator’s affiliate program is available to everyone, and you don’t even need to have a hosting account with Hostgator to sign up.
How to get started with Hostgator’s affiliate program:
Before we get into detail about Hostgator’s affiliate program, here is a quick report of proof of income from Hostgator’s affiliate program:
Signing up with Hostgator’s affiliate program is easy & their affiliate program is available via ImpactRadius. You can join it here.
Once you have signed up for the Hostgator Affiliate program via ImpactRadius, it would take about 3-4 days before they will approve your application.
Payment options
You can get paid by check, ACH, or PayPal. For easy and quick payment, I would suggest using ACH or Paypal.
Unlimited affiliate income
The best thing about the Hostgator affiliate program is the fact that they pay according to the number of referrals received. For example, based on the number of people you refer to Hostgator, you will be earning as follows:
- 9 * $75: $675
- 11* $100: $1100
- 21 *$125: $2625
So far, I have not faced any issues with Hostgator’s affiliate program on ImpactRadius, and I have been successfully running it for a year. At the time of the writing of this post, Hostgator has paid me a total of $12,000+, and another $4000 is unpaid. It has worked for me, and if you use the program properly, this hosting affiliate program will work for you, too.
Here are highlights of the Hostgator Affiliate Program on ImpactRadius:
- Payouts: Impact Radius gives you much more flexibility with frequency and date of payment. We will still process and lock transactions for payment on the 11th of the month but you now can get your payments on a specific day of the month OR when you hit a threshold.
- Reporting: You will have much more detailed and insightful reporting on over 20 data points (ex: Invoice ID, Client ID, device, package type/term, domain, etc.). Additionally, you will have the ability to automate and download customized reports.
- Tracking: Coupon codes and affiliate links will continue to be the main tracking methods but again with much more insights through improved reporting.
- For a custom coupon code you need to email the Hostgator Affiliate team at [email protected]
Were you aware that you could make this kind of money from Hostgator’s affiliate program, or is this concept new to you?

Hi, I’d like to know what’s the best way to properly promote hostgator. What has worked for you? Can you help me please?
Hey Fede,
There are multiple promotion options for Hostgator. The best are as follows:
1. Writing dedicated post on Hostgator review
2. Having a Co-landing page along with Hostgator. For this, you will have to contact your affiliate manager for this.
3. Also, ask them for a specific discount coupon for your site.
4. Run giveaways
Hello,
It seems that affiliate commissions have changed in 2 points with ImpactRadius.
I hope I’m wrong…
Could you please confirm it?
1. whatsoever the number of affiliate sales within a month, you will only get 50$ per sales (even if it’s more than 11 sales)
2. The commissions used to be paid 3 months later. Now it will be 7 months later.

Harsh, have you tried Payoneer to get payment from Impact Radius?
Hi Harsh,
Joined Impact Radius after reading your post. I worked as HostGator affiliate and sold some in the past but afterwards, I’m seeing all of my sales convert into invalid. Hope the new affiliate system won’t work like that.

Hey Sumit,
Use Impact Radius.
I have 2 sales in different time slot. The last sale was in 10-04-2016. Still no payments from hostgator. I sent emails many time at [email protected], but no response. Even if i contact on their live support, they told me very straightly that we do’t about affiliates, for this you should contact their email at [email protected]. I also joined impact radius, now impact radius is asking more about my business to approve my account. Please see their message below:
“Hi Shabbir,
We recently received your application to join Impact Radius as a media partner.
Before we can complete your application, we need to know more about your business strategies. You have listed your promotional methods as (enter method).
How are you planning to generate traffic for your advertisers and which companies have you worked with in the past to generate traffic? Can you also provide some kind of proof, such as a screenshot of traffic purchased from an existing campaign.
Best,
Marcel”

@Nagib
Now, you will be signing up for Hostgator Affiliate program via Impactradius. Impactradius is a marketplace for affiliate marketers to find Affiliate programs to join. It’s easy to use & their track is pretty good. You can expect better tracking & may be little increase in revenue.
I signed up for Hostgator affiliate program today after reading your post. I am following your updates regularly. I know that I will not make any money now as I don’t have traffic for my blog but I know that this will work the same way as your other tips. Thanks for the post.
Hey Sateesh,
You said it right. You have to be consistent. it may not give benefits now but this is how one should start.
