I have been an affiliate partner with Hostgator for more than four years now. Every month I make around $1200 from Hostgator’s affiliate program. If you are new to Hostgator, you should check out our Hostgator review.

Hostgator offers unlimited hosting with quality customer support, and being a user of Hostgator myself, I have no hesitation in referring someone to Hostgator. Indeed, this is a win-win situation for me. I recommend one of the finest shared hosting services to people, and every successful referral makes a minimum of $50 for me.

Have you ever considered that instead of paying for hosting, you could make money from Hostgator’s hosting service?

Like most other hosting services, Hostgator offers an affiliate program.

Hostgator affiliate program Review:

Hostgator’s affiliate program is available to everyone, and you don’t even need to have a hosting account with Hostgator to sign up.

How to get started with Hostgator’s affiliate program:

Before we get into detail about Hostgator’s affiliate program, here is a quick report of proof of income from Hostgator’s affiliate program:

Signing up with Hostgator’s affiliate program is easy & their affiliate program is available via ImpactRadius. You can join it here.

Once you have signed up for the Hostgator Affiliate program via ImpactRadius, it would take about 3-4 days before they will approve your application.

Unlimited affiliate income

The best thing about the Hostgator affiliate program is the fact that they pay according to the number of referrals received. For example, based on the number of people you refer to Hostgator, you will be earning as follows:

  • 9 * $75: $675
  • 11* $100: $1100
  • 21 *$125: $2625

So far, I have not faced any issues with Hostgator’s affiliate program on ImpactRadius, and I have been successfully running it for a year. At the time of the writing of this post, Hostgator has paid me a total of $12,000+, and another $4000 is unpaid. It has worked for me, and if you use the program properly, this hosting affiliate program will work for you, too.

Here are highlights of the Hostgator Affiliate Program on ImpactRadius:

  • Payouts: Impact Radius gives you much more flexibility with frequency and date of payment. We will still process and lock transactions for payment on the 11th of the month but you now can get your payments on a specific day of the month OR when you hit a threshold.
  • Reporting: You will have much more detailed and insightful reporting on over 20 data points (ex: Invoice ID, Client ID, device, package type/term, domain, etc.). Additionally, you will have the ability to automate and download customized reports.
  • Tracking: Coupon codes and affiliate links will continue to be the main tracking methods but again with much more insights through improved reporting.
  • For a custom coupon code you need to email the Hostgator Affiliate team at [email protected]

Were you aware that you could make this kind of money from Hostgator’s affiliate program, or is this concept new to you?

    Hello Harsh,
    I think hostgator affiliate program is better than Godaddy because it is all about customer satisfaction and Hostgator is a great hosting provider from a very long time. On the other hand Godaddy hosting still needs to improve a lot.

    Hi Harsh,

    ThanQ for the useful Post. My Question is… being an Indian, whether to Signup in hostgator.in or hostgator.com ? Please reply.

  13. Clive

    Very useful post sir! I am starting out with Hostgator and based on your excellent review.. I think i will be going ahead with them..

    Thanks once again

  14. I recently moved a client’s site and domain to Hostgator. I thought maybe the affiliate link didn’t work since I didn’t receive a confirmation email. Unfortunately, their affiliate program has no phone support so I’ve tried to email them twice in the last couple of weeks to confirm the sale is from me. No response at all. Basically, if they decide to ignore you there is nothing you can do.

    Hi Harsh
    My Question Is For You That
    Is the commission the same for all 3 packages ?

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Ankur
      Yes commission is d same for all packages n for all tenure.

      1. Poman

        How can i attract people so the can sign up from my affiliate links?

  16. Kay Jay

    Hi Harsh

    Great post! I wanted to ask:

    Is the commission the same for all 3 packages?

    For example, if someone signs up for the hatchling plan, will the commission be the same as the baby or business plan?

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Kay
      Yes, the commission is same for all the packages.

  17. Prateek Tripathi

    My question is that- How is Hostgator gaining through these affiliate programs?

    I mean, consider that I got 10 signups for Hostgator, and each signup costs 15$, making Hostgator’s earnings= 10×15$=150$.

    Whereas, my earnings according to their offerings would be 10×75$=750$?????

    Maybe, because for us its a onetime earning, but for Hostgator, the users would be paying 15$ each month. So in that way its a long tern earning policy for Hostgator.

    But here is the catch! What if most of the users registered, put up a site as well, but used it only for a month or so? wouldn’t it be a loss for Hostgator then?

    again thank you so much.

    Hi Harsh, Your article is very useful I have one question i.e if any one only purchase hosting from hostgator using affiliate link or coupon and linked it from other domain which he purchased from other service provider like go-daddy etc. then an affiliate get commission or not?

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Raj
      Yes one will get commission for the same from Hostgator.

  20. Danish Ahmad

    Sir, kindly let me know one thing. If I promote the affiliate link on my facebook page also besides my website, will that violate any of HostGator’s policy or terms?

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Danish
      You dan promote it on your Facebook page..That’s not against their policy… But if you are using Facebook ads or Google Ads to promote your affiliate link, you should check their name bidding policy…
