It’s better to check & stay active on Parenting related forums.
You can’t help anyone on these forums, so it’s not a good Idea to make profile there.
As Harsh said you better find forums in your niche you can do it by searching google for something ‘your keyword foroum’ or ‘parenting forum’.

Thanks for the dofollow lists. I have been searching for sites that are dofollow for a very long time and am glad I landed on your sites, which I have been following so trust the list. I wanted to ask how does one link back to their website considering some of these forum sites only ask for your username and password, which only link back to your account in the forum website and not your website as comment backlinks do by asking you to fill your website before commenting. You can link back to your site via the ‘Signature’ Section. Check under settings though I’m not sure this is a feature in all forums.
Digital Point Forum is currently following ‘nofollow’ notation.
Post links, signature as well as home page all are nofollow now
