I have already shared tips to promote old blog posts, and today I will be talking about one WordPress plugin, which will help you in social media promotion of old blog posts. Twitter is one of the most famous social networking site for bloggers, and Internet marketers, and if you have build a credible profile on Twitter, your shared links will have great value. I have already talked about importance of tweeting your posts multiple time, and we will be taking the same approach here, but for an indefinite time. We will be looking at tweet old post WordPress plugin, which is a simple to use plugin for resharing your old blog posts in Twitter.
How to use Tweet old post for Tweeting old content:
Tweetold posts is a simple WordPress plugin, which will let you quickly configure you settings to start tweeting old posts. Once you have configured Tweet old posts plugin, it will auto tweet posts from your blog, after specific time interval. I have used many Twitter tools like Hootsuite, Socialoomph which let us schedule tweet, but they require manual work.
Tweet old post WordPress plugin, out your Twitter marketing into automation (Up to an extent), and you can use manual tweeting for connecting and for sharing interesting Tweets. This plugin will automatically tweet your old post periodically and you can decent amount of traffic from Twitter on your old post.
To use this plugin:
- Search for Tweet old post, and install, activate this plugin.
- Go to Tweet old post > Settings
Here you will be connecting your Twitter profile, where you want to enable tweeting for old blog posts. After that, there are many settings like
- Add hashtag
- Share link, share link + body
- URL shortener
- Prefix or Suffix text
- Exclude categories
All this settings are easy to understand, and if you can easily configure it. Tweet old post also let you exclude specific blog posts from auto tweeting. If you have a blog with tons of content, Tweet old posts will help you to promote your posts. Though do remember, keep a decent time-interval between your tweets, else it will annoy your followers. For Facebook, you can try GetPostRocket or Bufferapp, both are good.

That’s pretty impressive. The old posts more or less dies if it has no or less value on the SERP. So this trick can be used on such posts
