WordPress ping list are very useful to extend your blog reach to major search engines. We all know that blog has a big advantage over static/dynamic sites in the form of Ping. If you are not aware of pinging feature of WordPress, then here are my 2 cents for you.

When ever you publish, edit or modify a post, WordPress sends ping to all the Ping services which is listed under your ping update service. So this way, ping services get notified about new post and search engine will quickly index them.

Now by default WordPress notifies all major ping services but we can always extend our limit by pinging more services by adding them manually.

Over the time, I have compiled a list of ping services for WordPress, which will help you to ping more services. Here is list of my working WordPress ping list.

You can copy the list from WordPress doc file

  1. Thanks so much Harsh Agrawal. I just included all the ping services you listed here on my new blog. I will watch to see any positive development. Thank so much

  2. This is an exciting list, I had only one url by default on my blog, but with this post i now have over 30 feeds where my blog posts will get submitted so search engines can crawl, i guess we cannot just under estimate the power of search engine crawlers.
Great Post, Keep up the good work!

I just wanted to thank you for your effort in putting together this list. I found a lot of URL’s I didn’t have in my current setup and I hope this will make Google index my blogposts quicker.

    Greetings from Sweden! 🙂

  4. Please Don’t go crazy with a massive list of pinging services

Avoid using long ping list on the internet that contain 100-150 services which simply do not exist anymore. (Most of mentioned ping sites in the above list removed).

If you have a long ping list, you’re just adding to the noise because they often contain URLs that are either outdated/dead or might go offline soon or late.

  5. I can’t find any ping list plugin. This is the one I found, WordPress Ping Optimizer. Is this the same as the one in the picture?

    1. If i understand you clearly, you do not need any plugin, all you have to do is go to your wordpress setting, click ‘writing settings’ and past the ping list where you see only pingomatic.com which is usually the default

    1. @Adeeb
Not any more.. Moreover, now WordPress takes care of excessive pinging by default so no problem at all.

  6. Some people says that pinging is good and some says that it is bad… I am confused that to add these pinging servers or not.

  7. Thanks for sharing this ping list. There are some here listed that I didn’t already have already that I will add. How much faster does a site get indexed in your opinion when adding these to WP?

  8. Hi Harsh,

I have updated this list in my new set up blog, for which I am building pages. But now I am unable to access my blog it showing me error that “Server not found”. Even I am unable to login into my wordpress blog account. I am bit worried brother.

Please assist. Waiting for quick response.

    Regards,
    Amol

  9. Can I know what is the approximate timing when these services list our article on google? And also the timing it used to index normally…

  10. Thanks Harsh for the Post! At all, I was looking for the post and founded this awesome post! Thanks 😉
