WordPress ping list are very useful to extend your blog reach to major search engines. We all know that blog has a big advantage over static/dynamic sites in the form of Ping. If you are not aware of pinging feature of WordPress, then here are my 2 cents for you.
When ever you publish, edit or modify a post, WordPress sends ping to all the Ping services which is listed under your ping update service. So this way, ping services get notified about new post and search engine will quickly index them.
Now by default WordPress notifies all major ping services but we can always extend our limit by pinging more services by adding them manually.
Over the time, I have compiled a list of ping services for WordPress, which will help you to ping more services. Here is list of my working WordPress ping list.

Great list bro, & guys even in the comments I have found good resources. What is the action to be taken if we are hosting our blog on Blogger instead of wordpress. Do we have any pinglist for blogger platform as well & if yes, how to use it ?
thanks for providing the list, I am just setting my blog and this guide will be of great use for me to start with..
Hi Harsh,
That’s very good list you provided!
Generally i use pingomatic for my blog. I have also a great list in my collection. It is very important to use pinging service to get index fast.
Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing this useful post with us.
Thank you so much for this information. I have been blogging away for months and had no idea what a ping even was, let alone that I needed to optimize the list.
Please, Help me it’s urgent 🙂
1. Does wordpress ping “Google” If i schedule a post for future?
2. If yes, Is there any way to stop it for certain period of time?
3. How do i know when my site sending ping to google?
Hi Harsh,
Thanks for the compiled list of ping service. But, can just remove these line numbers in front of each ping service. We have to remove it ourselves while entering them.
Thanks
The only thing I am worried about is lately my website dashboard with editing pages and posts have been really slow, and I read on wordpress support that the update services cause this slowness. Will this cause even more slowness with more? I had default one, and it was slow, and saying connection was lost. I hope this isn’t going to make it worse. I copied and pasted Tuans list.
Hi Harsh,
Thanks for the list of ping urls, I have tried to copy the urls and paste it on my wordpress blog Setting>Writing list. It shows numbers at the starting of URL, I have removed the numbers and used it but i would recommend you to also remove the numbers from the line. It would be easier for newbie bloggers.
Thanks.
and i read every comment of here and no body mentioned how much is enough. Lately i am using 5 pinging sites and then somewhere i read “too much of this may treated as spam”. I will stop using those after adding these sites.
Just a quick question, should i use all the pinging sites provided here ( including comments )or just use of yours? How much should i use?
and thanks bud for the post. It helped!
Harsh, i have fear of spamming the Google, if we ping this huge ping list. Is it work smoothly?
@Rahul
I have been using the same Ping list for almost 2 years. No problem so far! 🙂
Hi Harsh, I have gone through your ping list and just wondering are below links still valid?
6: http://api.my.yahoo.com/RPC2
7: http://api.my.yahoo.com/rss/ping
For my blog, I prefer to ping only my blog sitemap.
Thanks for the list and I did not know that having so much pinging is good. But if it’s good I will add all pinging address on the dashboard.
Thanks for the Great List of Ping site . My blog posts are taking too long time to get index . Today when I was checking the ping list I found that only default ping site is available and other ping site has been lost , may be because of the updates . Hoping now my blog postt will get index faster as before .
i have update pinglist as give by u sir…but still my posts not indexing after 2 hours…what should i do to get it index asap…
Hello Harsh,
Great Value for someone like me who is just getting started. Thanks a ton

Great Ping List, I just copied and paste my WordPress Update Service. Anyway Is there any Problem If We Use thousands of Ping Sites to Our WordPress Blog?
thanks harsh for sharing this article do you know i just started using WP and i use webmaster tool to update my blog post in Google data but now i will add this pinging list which is fantastic.
Hi Harsh,
If I use this ping list on my wordpress, should I enable or disable the “Pingshot” on Feedburner?
Thanks a lot Harsh. But what would you recommend? Use that full list or put a limit on the pinging services?
I’ve collected the lists from some descent bloggers and came up with this list.
