AdsOptimal Scam Alert: Publishers’ Hard Earned Money On Hold

93Shares

In 2016, AdsOptimal rose as one of the best AdSense alternatives. Many publishers made tons of money using AdsOptimal ads. However, things seem to be different in 2017 as they have suspended their service & all payments are on hold from the past one month.

If you are a publisher with AdsOptimal, this is an alert post for you to remove their ads right away. You are most likely not going to get paid.

And you are not alone in this. Even my $600+ is awaiting payment, and I’m doubtful they will pay.

Such scams are nothing new in the online world & we have seen many such cases in the past where advertising networks shut down and publishers never get their money.

Current AdsOptimal Situation: Unknown

Update: 2nd February 2017

This is the recent message I got from AdsOptimal team & this looks assuring that they might be coming back.

Dear AdsOptimal Publisher,

We have heard from many of you over the past couple weeks about your frustration about whether or not you will be receiving payment this month. We wanted to provide an update on the latest information and assure you that we are truly doing everything possible to get payment to all publishers that have followed our terms of service.

To provide more context, our network payment is currently delayed because of suspicious traffic from several publishers in our network. This suspicious activity includes bot traffic and invalid placements and activities. Due to the amount of suspicious traffic this month, our advertisers are currently withholding payment. This unfortunately is impacting our payment schedule for the whole network. Without receiving money from our advertisers, we do not have money to pay out our publishers.

We are working with our advertisers to finalize and process payments, removing this suspicious traffic from their accounts. We are half way through the process and will give you an update once we have it. We are working hard to ensure the problem is solved and AdsOptimal can return to providing you amazing ads. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks,

AdsOptimal Team

I have reached out to their team including their advisory board & will update this post as soon as I hear something from them. Publishers can still log in to their dashboard & see the stats and unpaid earnings.

For now this is what their website says:

“All advertiser payments are currently delayed. We apologize for this. Once we receive payment from our advertisers, we’ll process your payment as soon as we can.”

I tried reaching out to their support & got this reply:

Hi Harsh,
Thanks so much for reaching out. As indicated in your revenue dashboard, we have not yet received payment from our advertiser partners due to a system issue. Please note this issue is not specific to your website. We are experiencing this issue across all publishers in our network. At this time, we are unable to process payment to you. As soon as we receive payment from our advertiser partners we will remit payment to you. Apologies for this inconvenience.
Best,
Emily

I hope they get their issues resolved and they pay all those bloggers & publishers who are still waiting for payment. However, my suggestion for you right now is to remove their ads & look for an alternative.

Alternatives to AdsOptimal:

Here are two good alternatives that I can recommend right now. I will update as our community suggests better AdsOptimal alternatives:

Do let me know if you also have pending payments with AdsOptimal. How much money are you waiting on? Which ad network are you using right now to make money from your blog? Feel free to recommend good alternatives to AdsOptimal for other bloggers.

And share this post to keep others informed!

Was this helpful?

Thanks for your feedback!

    Harsh Sir,

    Thanks

    They’re bullshitting.
They gave me the same reply as they gave you.

I control their twitter account. They changed the handle for some reason and I noticed it an took over.

    Proof I control it: https://twitter.com/AdsOptimal/status/829689183086190592

They owe me $8XX. All their replies were shady, and that Indian guy, the owner-scammer (https://twitter.com/baddth) isn’t replying to any tweets.

    Support sends copy paste messages.

Advertising networks get money upfront from advertisers. How are they waiting to get paid by advertisers?
There’s a lot of lies in their statements.

UberCPM is really bad, nobody has ever reported a CPM rate over $0.01.

Publishers should definitely checkout adbuff.com, their ads look just like AdSense, I am getting $0.60 CPM for each ad unit and I just got my first payout from them a few days earlier than expected.

Same Situation here. Today I received same e-mail as harsh mentioned in the post. Well i have received some payment from them but December payment is on hold. Hope for the best that they pay publishers their hard earning money.

Having same problem. Adsoptimal is totally scam. I monetized my blog with Adsoptimal and earned $200 in 2 months. Now I am getting the same message. What will happen with my money I earned from hardwork.
    P.S. Sorry for grammar mistakes.

    Hey Harsh,
Thanks for informing us about AdsOptimal’s scam! It’ll conscious all of us! At the moment I’m using media.net and getting a great output. Thanks once again for sharing the knowledge.

What I have to say , I had joined the adsoptimal network on request of my close friend ( through his referral links)and placed ads on 5 websites ( out of 35) , interestingly my 20 submitted websites were approved by them. After one month (December/2016) my verified earning was $101. Normally I have requested the first payment , now showing the similar issue as you have described. As per my , 10+ years experience says that it will be found another scam.

  10. Being new to the blogging world I feel like there is still so much to learn. Your tips helped to clarify a few things for me as well as giving..

Thank harsh for updated the blogger. Luckily I am not using ads optimal. But this article prove that only Adsense is better than any other AdSense alternatives except affiliate marketing

  12. Dhavid

Tell me about it, they suddenly banned my account and close it without any further information other than I already violating their TOS. I asked an explanation about it, and they never reply to any of my email. They still owe me around $800.

  13. Pallav

Thank you Harsh for this news. I just put their ads in one of my sites and now this happened. my hard work would have gone in vein. Never thought, they’d come out to be a scam after reading so many good reviews. Thanks once again. 🙂

    Hello Harsh 🙂

Even I’m Facing The Same Problem.

I Had Just Joined AdsOptimal Network Last Year For My Blog.
And I Had Earned Around $57 In The First Month Itself.
Now, I Have Around $57 Pending, Which Is Still Awaiting Payment.

I Even Tried Reaching Out Their Chat Support & I Got The Same Reply As You Did.

I’m Really Disappointed, As That Was My First Income From AdsOptimal Network. 🙁

So, Its Really A Great Loss For Newbie Bloggers Who Have Just Joined AdsOptimal Network For Their Blog.

Let’s Hope That Their Issues Get Resolved As Soon As Possible & They Pay To All The Bloggers & Publishers.

  15. Swayam Prakash

I had seen they also have only one advertiser, when their systems are working, how they manage to pay all the bloggers. I hope then can pay the bloggers soon.

  16. Ravi R Naik

Recently i contact them. They sent me the same response. They need to pay my $177 earnings.

    Hope they resolve.

  17. Derek

    Harsh,

I have shared this post on Facebook, Twitter and my Google Plus page to alert my followers of this news. This is horrible.

Many years ago I scammed out of money and learned a lesson from that but I pray you and all who have a payment coming to get there money. Yes, people should move on to something better.

  18. Mashood Ali

I had submitted my site for review; and now this happens.

    Thankyou for alerting us.

  19. Vishwajeet Kumar

    Hey Harsh,

Thanks for blowing the whistle. I had join them few months ago but haven’t used them. Thank God! I actually didn’t rely on AdSense alternatives because most of them are not even close to AdSense. I always prefer affiliate marketing as a good alternative of AdSense.

Thanks again for the update 🙂

  20. Navin Rao

I was thinking of monetizing my blog with AdsOptimal along with AdSense…. I don’t know what stopped me..
Anyways fingers crossed so that all the Bloggers who were monetizing with it, gets their payment ASAP….

    Navin
