Find Images for your blog website using Google

    by Harsh Agrawal

It’s been just a week that Himanshu, has written a post on How to find free to use images for your blog, and Google announced a new addition in it’s image search feature and that is find images under creative common license.

In my previous post How to find license free images for your blog using Flickr, I mentioned why you should not search images from Google for your blog. but now you can forget about it and can use the Google advanced image search to find images for your blog.

According to official Google blog announcement

Today, we’re launching a feature on Image Search to help you find images that you can use for free, while respecting the wishes of artists and creators. This feature allows you to restrict your Image Search results to images that have been tagged with licenses like Creative Commons, making it easier to discover images from across the web that you can share, use and even modify. Your search will also include works that have been tagged with other licenses, like GNU Free Documentation license, or are in the public domain.

How to find Images from Google for your blog?

Open Google advanced search and select any of the option from the bottom of the option panel.

You can refer my previous post on What is Creative common licensing for Fickr and Wiki to understand all the licensing terms.

I personally find this will be useful for all the bloggers out here.

Meanwhile don’t forget to read How you can use Flickr to drive huge traffic to your blog.

Dhanasekaran it’s more like you need to see the License attached with the images. Use the right option and you will be good to go :)
