For almost a decade, companies like Bluehost, HostGator, SiteGround ruled the world of shared WordPress hosting. In recent years, we have seen many new web-hosting companies giving solid competition to these renowned hosting companies. Some of these upcoming and almost established new hosting companies are:
HostArmada is a relatively newest web-hosting company that offers many features which might attract users from Bluehost, and HostGator.
In this comparison post, we will compare the features of HostArmada and Bluehost to find out which one is best and offers more value for money.
Thanks to one of the ShoutUniversity users, who told me about this super fast and fantastic support of HostArmada, and after doing my diligence, I came to realize it is a hosting that you should be using or at least should be on your watchlist.
Anyways, more on this later, as I make a detailed comparison between Bluehost and HostArmada.

- Transparent server resources
- Monthly payment option
- Renewals are costlier

- Less transparency in terms of server resources
Why should you select HostArmada over Bluehost:
There are plenty of reasons why HostArmada surpasses Bluehost, and let’s look in detail at these features.
Server-location: Data centers within the reach of your visitors
One of the reasons why HostArmada surpasses Bluehost is the number of data-center it offers. If you are from India, you can host your website in their Indian data location. Bluehost data centers are unknown, and in my last research (read Bluehost review), I could find only one data center. I believe with Bluehost India, they have more locations, but again this information is not available on their website.
Free Website migration:
In the shared hosting segment, a lot of purchases happen around Black Friday, when these hosting companies offer 70-75% discounts. It is only after a year, that a user realizes the true cost of hosting as there is no discount on renewals. Now, the best option to save money is by changing web hosting, but migrating website is not an easy task.
This is where features like “Free website migration” is helpful. HostArmada offers free website migration, which helps non-techie people migrate their website for free from old hosting to a new one.

45 days money-back guarantee:
This might not be a dealmaker for many, as Bluehost also offers 30 days money back guarantee. However, 15 extra days is crucial for many newbies before they want to make a long-term commitment. 45 days money back guarantee also shows how confident HostArmada is about its offerings.
LiteSpeed web-servers perform way better than NGINX and Apache. Bluehost offers NGINX webservers, and HostArmada Speed Reaper (the highest shared hosting plan) offers LiteSpeed web servers, which is something unique to HostArmada when we compare it with Bluehost. For a speed-hungry website, LiteSpeed servers will be much better.
Transparency of resources:
Last but definitely not least, I liked the transparency of HostArmada over Bluehost. On their plans and pricing page, you could clearly see what kind of server resources in terms of space and CPU you will be getting with different plans.
Pricing and discount:
Bluehost offers up to 70% off on all of their plan (I’m considering a Triennially plan), when you buy hosting for 36 months. HostArmada also offers discounts of up to 70%. What is interesting here is, that the renewal prices are more or less the same for both hosting companies. As I mentioned earlier, in “How to save money on hosting renewals“, you should always buy hosting for a longer period to save money.
Why should you select Bluehost over HostArmada:
Years of trust and experience:
HostArmada is a new web hosting company, and this newness may not fit well with users who are not price conscious. Bluehost has been around for more than a decade, and they have a great name in the industry for their contribution.
HostArmada and Bluehost both offer cPanel hosting, but Bluehost has taken it one notch up with its integration with WordPress. Their custom panel (along with cPanel), makes it easier for a newbie to manage WordPress, login to WordPress to name a few. Installing WordPress on Bluehost and managing WordPress is an easy task with the custom panel, which makes a huge difference. On ShoutMeLoud you will find tons of guides and tutorials for learning how to use Bluehost, making it easier for newbies to get started with web server and WordPress maintenance.
Bluehost Vs. HostArmada Comparison:
Let’s do a tabular comparison of popular plans from Bluehost and HostArmada. For this comparison, I’m picking the “Choice Plus” plan from Bluehost, and the “Speed Reaper” plan from HostArmada. For pricing, I’m considering the pricing for 36 months.
|Features||Bluehost (Choice Plus)||HostArmada (Speed Reaper)|
|Pricing (36 months plan)||$7.45/month||$5.39/month|
|Storage||Unlimited||40 GB SSD Storage|
|CPU||Not Defined||6 Cores CPU|
|RAM||Not Defined||6 GB RAM|
|Free Website Migration||✅ Migrator plugin||✅ (5 Websites)|
|Datacenter Locations||Not Defined||9|
|Dedicated IP Address||✅||Not Defined|
Bluehost Vs. HostArmada Conclusion:
This is one of the toughest comparisons between a well-established player and a new hosting company. From the features point of view, HostArmada seems much better and offers more value for money.
In no sense, Bluehost is a bad hosting company, rather it offers years of experience, trust, and deep integration with WordPress. Bluehost is also one of the highest-rated and recommended hosting companies for new WordPress websites.
Let me make it easier for you to pick between these two hosting companies:
If you are a complete newbie and looking for an easy to use WordPress shared hosting company, Bluehost is an ideal choice. For example, a mommy blogger, a finance blogger, a travel blogger, and so on. However, if you are a little bit techie, you should opt for HostArmada as it offers better pricing and much better features.
Overall, you would not go wrong with either of the hosting company. But if you ask me which one to pick in 2022, I might recommend HostArmada over Bluehost due to its features, transparency, and pricing.
Now, it is your turn to let me know which hosting (HostArmada Vs. Bluehost) you would pick and why? If you are an existing Bluehost or HostArmada user, I would love to hear your feedback and review of your hosting company.
If you find this comparison useful, do share it on your Whatsapp groups.
HostArmada and Bluehost India both offer data locations in India, which makes your website faster. However, Bluehost India offers localised support, localised payment option which makes it better for Indians to use Bluehost India over HostArmada.
If your Bluehost plan is about to expire, and you looking to shift to a new hosting, in such case HostArmada is definitely a good choice. Since HostArmada offers free website migration feature, you will have no problem moving your website from Bluehost to HostArmada.

Bluehost is good but choosing the best hosting partially depends on the type of needs for the Future website. Also, the budget matters a lot. Everyone can not afford very good hosting. So planning should be made wisely after a good calculation and one should limit the number of websites and start with only one website if the budget is low.
I think Bluehost is better than others. And I used this Hosting Personally for me.
