Many of users who move from BlogSpot to wordpress, they prefer to migrate their blogspot posts to wordpress. The process of migrating your posts, comments and users are easy.
By using blogger export and wordpress import feature you can easily migrate your posts from BlogSpot to wordpress.
Do remember this is the second post in the series of moving from blogspot to wordpress. If you have missed how to install self hosted wordpress blog, then do read it.
In this post I’m not taking about 301 perma redirection. Which I will cover in the next post. If you don’t want to miss it, do subscribe to shoutmeloud feeds.
FYI : 301 perma redirection tell search engine that the website is moved to new place and all your traffic will be redirected to new domain.
This post will help you to understand how to move your posts and comments from blogspot to self hosted wordpress blog.
Don’t migrate your post without 301 perma redirection, else you will end up creating duplicate posts of your own blog.
Simply login to your Wordpress dashboard and click on tools > Import
Now in the next options screen select > Blogger
You should be logged into your blogspot account and it will automatically detect all your blogspot blogs under your account.
Select the blog from which you wish to transfer your posts.
Now it will ask for the authorization, authorize the access of wordpress on your blogspot account and it will start importing all the posts from your blogger account.
The process is very simple and wordpress import feature made it too easy for non techy people as well.
But before you Import your blog, wait for my next post on how to do 301 perma redirection from blogspot to wordpress.

Hey DDlinks,
If you are facing issue while importing under admin user, It also has an option to set the previous author for your previous posts..
Though… If you are importing from blogspot to wordpress , You also need to set 301 perma redirection as well.
Have a look at this tutorial

Let me know if you face any issue.
I’m reading this post of your after-the-fact of transferring my blog from blogspot to wordpress. Everything seems to have come over fine, except for my users. How can I now transfer just my registered users from my old blogspot blog to my new and improved wordpress blog? Any insight would be helpful.
