Whenever you write a great blog post, your next target is to get people to read it. Nothing works better than social media to create a quick buzz, and reach out to tons of people. In a typical environment, most of the bloggers I know share blog posts on their social networking accounts and pages, as they should.
But if you’re looking to get more people to share your blog posts on social media sites, read on for some information that may be of good use to you!
Gautam has already shared a useful article on how you can motivate your readers to share articles. Later, Alan spiced up the series by adding the science behind making your content socially sharable.
Today I will be discussing a free platform called Viral Content Bee, which is a free social media promotion platform. Let’s look at what it is, and how it works.
What is Viral Content Bee and how does it work?
Simply stated, Viral Content Bee is a platform for bloggers and social media marketers to promote their best content on social media platforms. Technically, it’s a social media vote exchange platform, and it works on a credit system. The process is one of “You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”. The great thing about it is that the content shared on this platform is quality content, and you will not be tagged as a spammer when you are sharing other people’s content from within your own social media profile.
Here is a quick video demo, which will give you an idea of what Viral Content Bee is all about, and how it works:
Having watched the above video, you know how to get started. Next I will outline some of the best practices to follow on Viral Content Bee, to ensure that you make most of this platform.
The use of Viral Content Bee is based on credits, and you earn credits when you share other people’s work.
At the time of the writing of this post, VCB supports four social networks:
To get started, go to the Viral Content Bee homepage, and sign up for a free account.
After signing up, go to your account page and update your profile, and then connect with your StumbleUpon and Twitter accounts.
Don’t forget to select the group of interest to see content based on your niche.
Now go back to the dashboard and share content that you like. (Twitter is integrated with BufferApp, so it’s a good idea to share posts via BufferApp.)
Once you have earned a decent amount of credits, you can start submitting your posts. I would recommend that you be careful to submit posts which are share-able. Learn what kind of content people usually share on social-media sites. Click on “Add Project” at the top, and the rest of the process is easy to follow.
I would suggest placing a fair amount of focus on getting more StumbleUpon likes, as StumbleUpon can bring viral traffic to your blog post.
Remember, the key to success with this site is sharing other people’s posts, and earning more credits.
The process is simple, and by spending 5-10 minutes a day, you can earn enough credits to promote your next blog post for free.
Overall, Viral Content bee is a great start-up by Gerald Weber and Ann Smarty, and you should not miss the opportunity to be a part of this free platform.
Do let me know if you are part of VCB or not.
