Facebook is one of the top social networking sites which you can use to drive huge traffic to your blog. When you combine the Twitter and Facebook to drive traffic to your blog, you will surely get bonus traffic for your blog. I always suggest bloggers to target Twitter and Facebook throughout because if your post gets viral on any of these social media sites, you will be getting the decent traffic spike. One of the easy ways to drive traffic via Facebook is using a Facebook fan page. When people click on like button of your Facebook page, whatever you are sharing on your fan page wall, will be visible on Facebook timeline of fans.
Another way by which you can drive traffic is by auto-sharing your content on your Facebook profile. Now to make most out of it you should have a considerable amount of friends on Facebook and especially those who are interested in stuff written in your niche.
Twitter is a tool for the internet marketer, blogger, and webmasters. Most of the Twitter users falls into the above category and making them joining your Facebook profile is a good idea for improving your connection & for brand building.
I try to make sure that my Twitter followers also become a friend on Facebook and for this, I send a Twitter Direct message to all new followers saying:
Thanks for connecting with me on Twitter. You can join me on Fb too: Facebook.com/denharsh
Many of them who are real followers and like my sharing, they connect with me on Facebook. There are many tools which you can use to send Auto Direct message. One which I use is a free tool call Social-oomph.
One thing which you should take care of is, use Facebook as a real human instead of making it an auto Facebook profile (Bot Facebook profile). Interact with your new friends on Facebook and get to know them.
10% of my WordPress services clients comes from Facebook. One of the major reason is that I interact with them and this way they start knowing me and my work.
One important thing: Don’t combine your personal and blogging life into Facebook. Even if you add all your family and online friends on Facebook. Make sure you make good use of Groups and Privacy feature.
Do let us know, if you add lots of friends on Facebook or you use it for personal use only?
Good article bro, liked the concept of not combining personal and blogging on facebook. Can you suggest me or us on how you do it exactly.
Seems very handy.
Remembering facebook and twitter are big social media sites now.
Well said ,
we have to keep difference between our friends as well as bloggers !
I faced heat from my few friends & later realised time to create a seperate group or account for the same!
thanks harsh !
I have divided my Facebook friends in Groups, which helps me to share my stuff accordingly. Nice Article. 🙂
Great tips Harsh…Certainly its important for a blogger to not combine personal and blogging life into FB…
Thanks for sharing this 🙂
I agree with you and i am also thinking the same. This is the genuine way to build trust with your friends.
Thanks
“don’t combine your personal and blogging life into Facebook”. true and bloggers should always have that in my mind.
Thanks for the tips.
Robin this is something which I learned by my mistake..Earlier I added all my friends, family and bloggers friend on single profile and with me post updates my personal friends started complaining since blogging/tech related post is not for everyone…
Since that time I started creating a big wall between my friends and Blogging life.. and it helps a lot …
Great tip Harsh, any how i dont have a single friend on my Facebook, i will definitely try this today and will give my feedback, thanks for sharing this bro.
Make sure you either take help of privacy settings to create a difference between your personal and professional/marketing friends..Else use a difference profile for marketing friends.!
