If you are a WordPress iOS app user, you know how painful it is to manage your blog from the default app. Ahh..You got me wrong!
I’m not talking about adding blog posts or adding images, I’m talking about updating your plugins, themes & other maintenance tasks. Is int it wonderful if Automattic integrates this feature in the app itself?
Well they haven’t & I doubt they would do that. This becomes a problem for users like me & you who have multiple WordPress blog (You have more than one WordPress blog. Right?)
Earlier I have talked about ManageWP service, which let us manage multiple WordPress Blog. Now, here is something for those Bloggers who are an Apple fan-boy like me and holds an iPhone or iPad with them. ManageWP iPhone app is released and like their online Website, now you can manage your WordPress Blogs right from your iOS device.
I have tried this app on my Phone, and there are few features that will make sure that you use this app. Especially, if you are one of those who likes to get notified for site downtime instantly, ManageWP iPhone app push notification feature will keep you updated.
Why ManageWP iPhone app is useful?
First of all, ManageWP is very useful service when you are managing multiple WordPress blogs. It may not be very useful for people with one blog but again there are many free features offered by manage wp, which will let you create an account on Managewp.com and download their latest iOS app (Link Below). With ManageWP iOS app, you can do many things like:
- One click Update WordPress
- One click update Plugins
- Check Website stats
- Clean all Spam comments with one click
- Check the status of your site daily backup
- Push notifications for failed backup and site downtime
- Manage Posts and comments
There are many more features, but these are some of the basic features that you look in a service that offer multiple WordPress management. Though manage posts and comments might not be so handy due to the screen size of iPhone, but rest other features are very useful and usable for day to day usage.
Being a free iPhone app and ManageWP allows free account for users who have to manage less than 5 WordPress sites, I find this app to be very useful. Specially, when multiple WordPress management market is growing, with this iPhone app release ManageWP team got an extra edge. Do remember to activate push notifications for ManageWP app. You can do that at the time of installing or you can simply go to managewp app settings and enable push notifications.
Here is a screenshot of analytics dashboard via Manage wp iPhone app:
Right now, this app offers all basic features and down the line I could expect this application to come down as best alternative to official WordPress App for iOS. Since, I’m a business account user of ManageWP, I miss few things like option to check Keyword rank and site health status directly from iPhone app and I hope to see all these features in app in coming days.

For now, those who have read my review of ManageWP and using this service to manage multiple WordPress sites, go ahead and install this useful WordPress iPhone app and give yourself the freedom to manage your blog while travelling. I have not yet tried this app on my iPad screen, and if someone can try it and give a feedback of their iPad version, that would be great.
