WP-Cumulus Wordpress Plugin for Pro-Blogging

Introduction

WordPress Plug-in Cumulus is a flash based categorization for your blog. Basic methodology behind is same as Tag Cloud, which automatically rotates them in 3d architecture. It increases Visual Rating for a website, blog etc.

Plug-in works with WordPress 2.4 and later versions of Wordpress. If no Wordpress, don’t worry, it   maintains, Joomla, TYPO3, TypePad, BlogEngine.NET, PHP-Fusion version as well.

Installation

  • Download the WP-Cumulus Plug-in from here.
  • Extract the contents of the zip file into your WordPress Plug-in Directory.
  • Upload the files using FTP to the server.
  • Login to your WordPress Dashboard and select plug-ins.
  • Activate the required Plug-in from the Plug-ins page.
  • Now, there can be three different ways to present tag-cloud on your wordpress blog. One, by creating a new page and inserting HTML Code. Second way can be by function call, <?php wp_cumulus_insert(); ?>. Third way can be by designing and customizing a widget for it.

It surely is a beautiful Text cloud with all 3d rotation effects.The plug-in can be resized, redesigned any where any time, that is, width of the tag cloud can adjusted, height, colours, background colours, rotation speed, transparency.

Have been using it since ages..:p Its lovely as far as aesthetics go, not sure how many people find it useful though.

I use to use it, but also removed it. If you look at my site, I don’t even have the normal tag widget showing. I just feel that it’s a waste of space and I’m also trying to keep my blog and clean and crisp as possible.
