We have seen lots of buzz in Wordpress community for the release of Wordpress 2.9 and finally its time now to upgrade your wordpress to latest 2.9 version.
Wordpress 2.9 has added lots of features which I’m sure many wordpress users will love it.
Some of the significant features of Wordpress 2.9 Carmen are :
Trash feature : This is like recycle bin of your system. If you have accidently deleted your post or any comment, you can quickly recover it from trash folder.
Image Editor : Now wordpress has in-built image editor which will let you quickly edit , crop and resize your images. Now you can add more spice to your images directly from wordpress dashboard.
Video Embedding feature : It’s time to kick out video wordpress plugins, as you can quickly add link of videos and it will automatically embedded into your posts. You can read more about video embed in wordpress 2.9 here.

Before you upgrade your wordpress to the latest version, make sure you take a complete backup of your wordpress blog.
You can upgrade wordpress directly from dashboard by clicking on tools>Upgrade
Or you can directly download wordpress from Wordpress download page.

Ankit click on Tools>Upgrade and see the new option ..
Yes. It was not available from the Admin Panel for me too. Upgraded from the Tools->Upgrade option
