As expected earlier Wordpress released 2.9.1 version of Wordpress. Almost 15 days back released Wordpress released Wordpress Carmen 2.9 and soon after that few bugs were found including Missed scheduling Error and header cannot be modified error. We have already discussed the issue earlier and provided the solution to both the wordpress bugs.
As expected within a week time, Wordpress released 2.9.1 Beta 1 to fix few errors and to get feedback from beta users.
Finally Wordpress 2.9.1 is live and can be download from Wordpress.org download page. Latest Wordpress release fixes lots of bugs which are mentioned on this page.
So if you facing issue with Wordpress 2.9 or you have not downloaded wordpress 2.9 yet, it’s the right time to do a quick one click upgrade to Wordpress 2.9.1
Do you upgrade Wordpress as soon as an update is available or wait for some time ?

usually i ll to upgrade to the latest version of wordpress as i am afraid of the bugs but the this time I have updated right away as I want to be get rid of the bugs that raised in 2.9
One new thing that Wordpress versions onward 2.9 has is the inclusion of an additional separate field for alternate tags for images… a really good move: Read more here: http://bit.ly/6vJbpt
Previously it used to be that the captions are used as an alternate tag and at time you do not want to caption an image, what do you say Harsh?
The schedule missed bug was really annoying. Thankfully, WP fixed it
I upgrade as easy as 123 and had no issues at all. I know some bloggers out there will wait until after a week or so, but WHY. I never had the problem with missed scheduled posts at all, funny hey.
I don’t know if you have read about MT looking like WP when it comes to posts? Just thought I would share it with you.
George this problem is not being experienced by every one, Onlu lucky one (sarcasm) or chosen one are facing the problem. Glad wordpress rolled out an update. Meanwhile I could not understand “MT looking like WP” .

Secondly, is there any wordpress plugin compatible with 2.9.1 or higher version of wordpress to check the repeated pinging of your post when you edit an old post so as to control the ping spam.
