Everyone knows that Windows Live Writer is an amazing tool for blogging. You can do many thing with Windows live writer which you can’t do in Wordpress dashboard while posting an article. Some of the best features include inserting image and video. Check spellings and word count. But here i am not going to discuss those features of Live writer because most of you are already aware of them.

Here i am going to explore some unknown and wonderful image editing feature of Windows live Writer from which you can increase the effectiveness of your post by many folds. Here i am using a wall paper image designed by Honey Singh of Honeytechblog . I am giving various effects to it using the features of Windows Live Writer. Just have a look:

This is an image of Setting bar which will appear on the right side of Windows live writer while you click on the image.

Have a look on the setting.

There are three main setting given Picture, Advanced, Effects.

In the first setting, i.e. Picture setting there are lots of option given.

1) Text Wrapping: Text wrapping is the way text is arranged in relation to a picture or image in a document. You can arrange your text according to your need. either inline, left, right or centre.

2)Margins:Margins are boundary line or the area immediately inside the boundary. So you can either choose No margin or custom   margins. In custom margin you need to choose the image setting best suite for the position of the image.

3)Borders: You can choose among many of the given options. These are none, drop shadow, instant photo, photo paper, reflection, rounded corner, Solid-1 pixel, solid-3 pixel.

I am editing image and put a border effect into it.

Honestly, i was a big fan of Zemanta plugin, but due to hyper link suggestion on mostly Wikipedia articles(might effect SEO of blog) and heavy image suggestion (contains lots of codes making image and webpage bulky) on the post i found it useless. So i uninstalled it recently.

I dont know whether all of the above mentioned features are present in the latest wordpress release but some of them are surely there and i will prefer working via dashboard.
Just a personal opinion…..
