I am using Windows Live writer since a long time and I am very happy with it when compared to blog editor comes with blogspot blog.
Well Live Writer still have lot of problems. But it is a good one for many bloggers.
I have not tried it, but might now after you have mentioned it. I seem to be learning a lot from you
Thanks for sharing this info.
I love Windows live writer, apart from working in offline mode i found the most vibrant feature is inserting video,it is very very fast, also we can add technorati tags though there are lots of wordpress plugins also available for that one, also we can install some great plugins for WLW like Zemanta,Snagit to make our blogging much easier, older tag suggestion is also a nice feature, overall i love WLW and i cant imagine any blog posting without it. Full point to you Harsh for writing on this topic.
All you do is download, install the program, login, write a blog entry, click publish. The program automatically logs in and posts your blog entry.
The best thing I like is It Uploads the Images Automatically..
Plus there are so many features….
Agreed. this is the best blogging client out there.
Windows live writer is a must tool for bloggers. I can’t even imagine writing a single post without it.
No one can beat WLW.
@ Mayur
I go with you on this. Once I started using WLW I never looked back to default dashboard to write post.
Great tool harsh.I tried it once.Actually i was used to post from my mobile so i couldn’t take full advantage of it.
One such great software to post from mobile is ‘trutap’.It is lightning fast with some great features. The only problem is the word limit but it is still handy tool compared to email blogging.
Thanks Ricky and I’m sure you must have enjoyed using WLW.
never heard of truetap. will give it a try.
I am not very fond of Live Writer. Instead I would recommend ScribeFire, This is an add on to Firefox. I wonder if you could compare the two and let is know your opinion.
I’ve been using Windows Live Writer for a while and it’s great but I can’t figure out how to put those social networking tabs to follow each of my blog posts. Can you help?
@Ciaoch There are few addons for the windows live writer. Though I will suggest integrate social bookmarking icons on template. You can use plugins like sexy bookmarks and so on.
Hi, you can use Social Bookmarking Tags which is a nice plug-in for WLW…you can download it from here

Is there a way I can adjust the line height in WLW, when I publish, I see the line heights are too high.
Also let me know whether you use HTML or XHTML as default in WLW settings?
