if these are the reasons then i guess i’ll stick with blogspot .
Availability of plugins for wordpress is a big big factor why i (and other bloggers) move to wordpress. Besides with self hosted wordpress you aren’t ‘under’ google anymore :p
I personally prefer WP because it’s so much more customizable with plugins. You have more control
I will recommend free blogspot blog to beginners
because many newbie bloggers are not able to achieve what they want, So why waste money for web hosting. First go to blogspot blog and check yourself you can do this or not. Then you can migrate to wordpress.org.
and about free wordpress.com, people should read the above post ‘Difference b/w wordpress.com and wordpress.org’.
WP vs Blogger is quite subjective issue. IMO the beginners should start with a custom domain at blogger. Feature wise blogger is getting richer every passing day. Moreover its free.
what else a beginner can aspire for!
In my past 8 months of experience, I find Blogger as a good service that also helps in earning without investing anything on hosting & all.
Also AdSense & Amazon can be integrated seamlessly @ blogger
I think wordpress plateform is easy to handle ,easy to understand and most of the plugin which support in wordpress .Also customization is very easy task in wordpress. So thank to make aware
Wordpress is really very search engine optimized blogging platform. Beginners are advised to use wordpress.
Great article.
Well, I have used both the blogspot and wp. What I believe is that WP is more convenient, easy to use, a lot of plug in makes your life more comfortable, SEO friendly and so much free themes avaiable that I didn’ find on blog spot. I receive very few comments in blog spot while in WP the response by way of comments is also significatly higher then blogspot.
So, I agree with author that one should start blogging with wp only and I will add if you are serios for blog then you should use a paid hosting service instead of using a free one
I agree that WP is much easier, and I far prefer the interface – however, if you’re just hosting a free blog, I was under the impression that free WP blogs do not support Adsense – is that right?
Dave, yes wordpress.com doesn’t support adsense. But they have changed the rule that if you get huge amount of traffic, you may use it
With the number of plugins and themes, Wordpress wil always rocks. Thanks for sharing!!!
I started with a blogger blog, and I wish I could move it to wordpress now, but I don’t want to lose my traffic/PR. I much prefer WP. I found blogger easy to set up, but once I learned Wordpress, which isn’t too bad at all, I realized how much more it was capable. But if you don’t plan to do a whole lot with the site or feel the need to customize it a great deal, then blogger is a great choice as well. Just my 2 cents
I have blogger blog and want to migrate in wordpress. Hope you will post tutorial for migrating from blogger to wordpress.
Thanks!
start with wordpress because after using any free platform like blogger you will eventually move to wordpress. So why not start with the best
Good post. You can tell the world about this. WordPress is fun. I am addicted to it. I just started another project on Make Money Online of which, wordpress is the blogging platform
I totally agree. Wordpress is the most simple to use blog or website building system.
