Twitter has been an awesome experience, since I started blogging. But still there are many hidden symbols which makes me go looping.
RT Twitter is one symbol, which made me step into the depth of twitter.
What is RT (Retweet) in Twitter ?
RT is an abbreviation for ReTweeting/ReTweet, which is a repetition of some else’s tweet with in you Twitter time line. For Instance, RT @akyjoe Shhh¦.Zzzz¦¦. by XYZ, In this example, XYZ retweeted akyjoe’s tweet by his own profile. This usually works where we come across an interesting link updated in our feed, and we are wanting to post it from our own profile. Syntax RT @ USER Followed by the post, Interesting link
Retweeting helps an important and Interesting link to reach to more crowd and audience. If you are not retweeting, you are missing a big chance to connect to other twitter users and sharing a Vital and important link.
If you are still tweeting using web tool, I will recommend give a try to Twitter messenger : Tweetdeck which will make your tweeting life easier.

RT also symbolize that anyone Tweet an article and someone find the article very useful and try to distribute the article among his followers. The biggest advantage of RT is
1) As said by AkY jOe : It distribute important links among fellow tweeters.
2) It increase the credibility of person who tweeted the article previously.That’s why people reply as Thank for RT my article.
3) If any important person RT your post then you will get a great traffic on your blog.
For example one of the post http://tinyurl.com/5s3f97 of a honeytechblog is RT by co founder of Twitter i.e. Biz Stone and the blog gets amazing traffic on that day.
I was using TweetDeck and switched to DestroyTwitter because of the speed and sleekness of the application

Good that you have cleared this concept! But I have one doubt: If I retweet one’s persons creation which is already retweeted by other, then do I need to add “RT” in front of Both names or “RT” at the initiation of my Tweet is enough?
RT at the initiation of your tweet is enough:-)
I often retweet a lot. When I come across something good, I feel I must retweet it and let others learn from it as well.

I will RT a post that I think is good and would want to share with others. I don’t often RT, but I do now and then. It depends if I feel the content is worth it.
