How web hosting Affiliate Programs are useful:

1. High commission payout:

Affiliate Income Proof for Hosting Affiliate

Hosting Affiliate Programs offer insane commissions to those who bring in new sales; for example, HostGator pays a minimum of 50$ commission to the publisher for each sale; they have an inverted pyramid type system where the more sales you make in a month, the higher the commission for each sale, it can go up to 125$ a sale if you get 21+ sales a month.

You might think, “How can these companies afford to pay these insane commissions?” This is exactly what I thought when I first heard about these commissions; then I went through some literature on these hosting companies, and their business plan was pretty good.

They feel that if someone registers for a new hosting plan with them, these companies are confident in their services and that they can hold on to the customer for years to come. Hence they make much more than 50$ from the sale, over time.

2. Increase in Popularity of Building Websites

There is high interest in designing websites and building websites these days than there was, say 10 years ago.

So the market is growing, all you need to do is,  attract this market to buy through you. This can be done via SEO, using Coupons (4th Point) as well as promoting through paid channels or social networks.

With many people wanting to build websites, they are going to need hosting, so there is a huge market of people arising every day who want to buy hosting.

If you have corresponding articles and information, there is no doubt that you will bag some commissions each month.

3. Suggested Niche for Webhosting Affiliates:

Do not think you need to have a Domain like HostingReviews.com or WPHostingDiscounts.com and write only about Hosting topics to earn commissions.  are some other niches that can get you good results as well.  are some of them –

  • Technology
  • How to Create/Design Website
  • Coding Tips

These are just some of the Topics, which have a good potential to get commissions.

You will not believe it when I say that I got my first two commissions from HostGator through a Personal Blog and another from an Education Blog.

Even today I am dumbfounded how that happened, but as I said your niche does not have to about Hosting. The central point is that whatever your niche is, you earn a fixed commission of a good number of dollars, unlike Setupad or AdSense, which depend mainly on your niche and pay according to the keywords.

4. Hosting Discount Coupons:

Most of the Hosting Affiliates provide custom coupon codes for you, if someone buys a hosting plan using those coupons, then you can get the commission.

If it’s possible, try to make your codes very simple and easy to remember, and market these codes on your blog, stating the discounts they offer. If you use your coupons well, you can earn a lot more than with any CPC or CPM platform. Coupons give an incentive for users to go and buy a hosting plan for their website.

With the Hosting Companies providing so many opportunities, I think if you just do a little hard work you can surely earn a lot from Hosting Commissions.

Make use of this high-paying type of Affiliate, I am sure that you will not regret it.

Now, there are many Web-hosting companies that you can pick and join their affiliate programs. In most of cases, joining Web host affiliate program is free, and I will also share how you can find an affiliate program of any Web-hosting. You can also use Affiliate marketplaces like Impact,  CJ to find many high-paying Web hosting aff programs. But, I prefer joining directly to any hosting affiliate.

Though, don’t try to jump into every hosting affiliate network. Pick the affiliate of hosting that you are using and you are confident of. For example, at ShoutMeLoud you will notice under suggested Web-hosting, there are three programs and all of them is personally used by the team here at SML. So, it’s always wise advice to suggest something that you are sure of and confident about.

You can always use Google to find if any hosting company offers the affiliate program or not. For example HostGator Affiliate program or use the search term : Site: a2hosting.com affiliate program. (Hosting website URL + Affiliate)

In 2022, Bluehost moved it’s affiliate program from In-house to Impact.com, which is an affiliate marketplace.

Nestify has been around for years, and they offer high-quality hosting at a dirt cheap price. I find their quality of hosting to be good, but their marketing materials are not as good. This is where you have an opportunity to market this product and make a handsome commission.

  • $50 – $150/sale
  • The minimum payout is $200
  • In-house managed affiliate program
  • Coupon support – Yes
  • Payout via PayPal

How to promote Webhosting Affiliates:

Like any other hosting affiliate program, you can promote any Hosting Affiliate. Though, here are some tips for newbies to promote any of your Web-Hosting Aff programs:

1. Write Hosting review:

Write a review of hosting that you would like to promote. Give complete details and technical specifications and some strong reasons why you recommend it. Make sure, that none of the words should be fake marketing stunts but should be a genuine and personalized review. This will help, readers to pick a genuine Web-hosting company. Ex: HostGator review

2. Hosting Discount coupon:

All the hosting company offers discount coupon to increase their sale. You can keep an eye on the latest hosting discount coupons, by setting up Google alert or following those blogs or sites, which share the latest hosting discount coupon. Whenever you find any discount offer, that is hard to resist., share it with your readers via blog Post, Email newsletter, Fan page or Twitter. If the discount period is longer, you can add a banner in a prominent space on your Website.

3. Custom Discount coupon:

Many Hosting companies offer their affiliates to create a custom hosting discount coupon.

This will help them to increase their sales. For example, here at ShoutMeLoud, we have a custom coupon “SHOUTMELOUD30” for HostGator hosting, which offers a flat 30%  discount.

Similarly, you can create your own custom coupon. If you are using your blog to promote it, keep the coupon code close to your brand name.

4. Put Hosting Banner:

You can find affiliate Banner promotion material under your affiliate panel. Or you can also create custom ad banner for those hosting affiliate and put it on your site. Custom but attractive banner performs way better than general and common ad banners. (Ad blindness)

5. Create Hosting Comparison sites:

When I shop for any Web host for me, I usually read lots of review for a different hosting company account. Hosting comparison sites are very popular to pick the best host. Though it’s really hard to find the genuine one, but if you can create an honest site with a great review, comparison, and discount coupons, a proper strategy can wonder to your make money arsenal.

If the affiliate market is something that interests you, Web-hosting Affiliate is something that you should probably look into right away.  Don’t forget to subscribe to our email newsletter to get an update on our news guide on starting your own domain business.

Hi, I am a Hostgator affiliate and I am using ImpactRadius for the affiliate program. In that case, if I want to create a custom affiliate discount code, do I need to contact with HostGator or I will have to contact ImpactRadius.?

    Please answer my question.

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Himadri
You need to contact Hostgator team.

    2. pranita deshpande

Is it correct to add images of products of amazon.in in our blogposts.?

  4. Nasirudeen

Waw! well written article! i will start the affiliate program immediately! thank you very much for this wonderful post.

  5. Anushka

Great post! I have a doubt here. Can we give discount to the customer as an incentive to try from our link (provided by the affiliate). That discount will be some part of the commission I will get from the sale. So basically I give some part of my gain to you to buy the product. That might increase traffic. Just a thought!

    Please let me know 🙂

  6. Rahul Biswal

    Hi Harsh,

I have a question. For getting success in hosting affiliate sales, do our site need to build readers or organic traffic will work.

  7. Anish

Great post but I have some points that I would like to share. Instead of running behind the most popular or highest paying hosting affiliate programs, what you can do is choose the a program which really pays. Another critieria before chosing a hosting affiliate program is to check whether that particular company provides excellent service to their customers.

  8. Azman Nabi

    I have a question.
I use godaddy as a host partner for my blog. So can I advertise other hosting as an affiliate on my blog?

    1. Himadri Subrah Saha

Hi Azman, It does not really matter you are using which hosting company. You can sign up with any hosting company and advertise their affiliate banner or link and can get paid. Best of luck.

  9. Sayeed

I’m not sure how good hostgator affiliate program is, I tried bluehost and I’m feeling like they have the worse affiliate program… I’m not sure that is some is facing any issue with bluehost affiliate or not.

They do things which is not even in their term’s and codition.

Harsh as you are the expert I hope I can get some answer from you regarding this.

Someone singed up for 3 account and now I can see that they just simply delete 2 payment and I’m going to be paid for only 65$…

    TC!

Very good post. Looks very easy money with Web hosting affiliate but in real it isn’t. Hardest thing is how to get traffic to my website, website design and so on…

    1. Asmaa Gass

It definitely is pretty hard! I’m struggling so much on design because I hate all the free themes. Learning what SEO is and sharing on lots of social media sites will do the job. Buying a premium theme can help too. Some aren’t too expensive but some are ($30-$100). I just discovered Genesis Framework by Studiopress which looks really cool. Buying a theme from them instantly boosts up your chances of being seen on Google. I hope I helped, good luck!

  11. nikhil

I own a website which talks about health, fashion and relationship… will i be benifitted by joining a webhosting affiliate program. if yes then how??

    1. Tirthpriya

No nikhil, i don’t think so.
Because as Harsh(the expert) mentioned above ,that you need to be in some niches like

      1.Website design
      2. Technology
      3.blogging
      4. Coding tips
      5. Website templates etc

As you don’t fall in any of this niche. I think you are not going to get much , if u beome an web hosting affiliate.

  12. Radha Krishna

Web hosting affiliates pay really high compared to other affiliate programs. I had good luck with BlueHost and it is earning me more than my monthly income from ads these days. But, HostGator didn’t bring me a single penny. Will test out the other programs too. Thanks for the post.

  13. Yash Sehgal

Excellent writeup gautham. But dont you think that webhosting affiliate market is too saturated nowadays?

    1. Harsh Agrawal

      @Yash
Yes Competition is there in Webhosting niche but again the prize which you get in return is good enough to try it out.

  14. Sammy

Personally I have used both GoDaddy and Hostgator for my shared hosting blogs. However I find Hostgator to be insanely more helpful and easy that GoDaddy. First of all, GoDaddy site is cluttered and very difficult to navigate. I managed my way around that. But their support is terrible.

Once when my site was infected with malware, they just washed their hands off and left me to fend for myself. I decided to transfer my hosting and even then their instructions were casual and unhelpful resulting in complete loss of database for me. Fortunately it was a small site and I managed to get it back up.

Similar problems experienced with Hostgator – but their support was very helpful in getting malware removed and they even installed the database for me.

So I’d always recommend Hostgator above everyone else. High paying affiliate programs are a good thing, but if you really care for your blog readers then you must offer them something that you know and have experience that it is a good product.

    1. sanu dutta

Just one word for Godaddy support, Terrible. However, I run 3 of my sites on Hostgator and they’ee quite impressive in terms of downtime and support.

  15. Tushar

This is a very good information on how to use webhost affiliate programs. A right campaign can surely get you the right bucks. Thanks for the share Gautham.

  16. rahul

There was nothing new that I haven’t read before, but the article was really well written and very informative. Well done Gautham.

    And one question.
I checked your blog, why don’t you get a custom domain instead of a .blogspot it costs less than $12!

  17. Irfan

    1. JULIUS

Hi FLATFEETS, I wanted to sign up for ipage affiliate program. But i made a little research, some said its affiliate program is a SCAM and they won’t pay me, I am wondering whether this is true. Do you have any experience with ipage personally? 1. Ravi

        Dear Julius

Ipage and fatcow are one and the same.you can check their cpanel. Both are sister concerns. Dont sign up ipage and fatcow. they dont pay you.

  19. Jai

  20. eddy rehani
