I can honestly say that I have never tried a blog carnival, but I have some friends that do it quite a bit in their niche (mom bloggers) and it is very successful in building PR, because the links are always relevant, usually contextual and often in the body of a post.

I used to be part of one blog carnival, but it was a few years ago. It was a lot of fun, I got a lot of visitors and met some great people this way. But then it suddenly stopped, not sure why, and I forgot all about it.

The important part of the carnival is that the blog articles should all be related, at least be about the same niche. If not, it won’t work.

    Thanks for sharing.
