Upload Multiple files at once: Google Mail update

in Gmail

2009 seems to be a festive season for Gmail as they are coming up with lots of upates like Gmail theme customize update , Location tagging feature and many more.

Today Gmail come up with another update which will let you select multiple files at once and upload them as attachment. This is one feature which I always wanted to see in my primary Email service.

To use this feature simple click on add attachment under compose mail and select multiple files by clicking on CTRL key and click upload. This will help you to upload multiple files and save your time. Earlier we have to select single file one by one when we have to deal with bunch of files.

gmail multiple attachment option

I’m sure many of us will love this service.

When using Firefox on my PC, this feature works.
When Using IE7 or 8 on my PC, this feature works, too.
But when i try to attach someting in my main browser Firefox on my Win PC, i get the old Single-File Upload forms! that suxx, as i have no google addons installed…

Anyone an idea?

Ive noticed the same issue Ingo.

It MUST be a FireFox problem as the flash multiple uploader also works as it should in Safari?

It got even weirder… now, sometimes i get the new uploader and sometimes the old one. Without changing the configuration, without restarting the browser! Just by waiting a couple of minutes and suddenly the behaviour of the uploader changes…

very strange!

Hi Harsh,
it’s Firefox 3.08 on Windows Vista Home Premium.
As I’ve written bevore, i don’t have this problem with any other browser. Not IE, and not even the Firefox 3.08 on my Mac has this issue.
Well. not so important, i just like this feature very much and it’s kind of annoying, if it only shows up 25% of all tries :-/

@Ingo Di Bella
I really wish if I can help you here. One of my friend is facing the similar issue. And few Firefox users reported the slow loading of Gmail on Firefox.
I will try to seek for an answer related to this problem from support forum.
Though meanwhile I suggest try chrome on your windows system. I’m sure you will not face any issue with chrome. Since it’s officially powered by Google.
