Every image on Flickr and Wikipedia have certain copyright attributes which allow you to use the images under different situation.
Common creative license enable any user to copyright his work, And allow others to copy and edit his work under certain conditions like : backlink, commercial work or non commercial work.
There are basic four condition of CC (Creative common)
Attribution : Attribution allow user to copy, display your image, distribute your work. Along with it user can alter and modify the work. The only thing which is required here is user have to credit the owner in form of backlink or the way user asked to.
Share alike : This license let you distribute derivative work under the same license, which you used to edit or modify the work.
Non commercial attribute : This means that you can copy, edit, modify, redistribute work only if you are doing it for non-commercial purpose.
No derivative work : You are allowed to copy, publish the work but you are not allow to modify the work.

that explains a lot, so basically we bloggers do not make money out of the images and just use it for display, “as is”, so perhaps its safe to use the images then? just need to give a backlink if attribution is necessary, we give a link anyway…
