twitter There is a buzz about Twitter company’s confidential documents stolen which was posted by TechCrunch two days back. Yesterday Twitter team posted a blog entry about their confidential documents have been hacked.

Twitter blog entry confirms that only company’s documents hacked and accounts are not compromised.

How twitter company’s official documents stolen.

According to twitter an administrative employee in Twitter has been targeted by hacker and his account has been has hacked .The hacker had accessed all confidential documents of Twitter relating to sharing notes, spreadsheets, ideas, financial information, and more the stuff about the company .Then twitter performed an internal audit and told security guidelines to all.

we believe the hacker was able to gain information which allowed access to this employee’s Google Apps account which contained Docs, Calendars, and other Google Apps Twitter relies on for sharing notes, spreadsheets, ideas, financial details and more within the company.

Documents only stolen and accounts are safe Any twitter users need not worry thinking was their account also hacked? no its not only confidential documents are breached by hacker. All twitter accounts are safe. After the documents are stolen hacker send these documents to some popular blogs .

According to twitter there is not much credibility should be given to these documents they are the plans of twitter in future they are not going to finalized to implement .But hacking to company’s account shouldn’t twitter be worried ?in fact it raises questions to twitter users how much their account are safe in twitter.

Twitter should strengthen security in all aspects. Twitter is regretting the fact that they can’t do anything because twitter is so popular they can’t protect their company’s confidential documents and blames Google apps for that this is sort of escapism.
