Twitter have become my favorite past time and the best way to get in touch with friends. Somehow I don’t enjoy chatting on messengers anymore after I started using Twitter.

I was using twitterfox from long and I enjoyed using it till few days when I get my hand on Tweetdeck.

I was amazed after a started using Tweetdeck. Tweetdeck gives you immense power to control every tweet.

What’s so special about Tweetdeck?

Tweetdeck is an adobe Air application which has a very nice and clean interface. Tweetdeck is very organized in terms of taking control over your replies, direct messages and you can see last 200 tweets from your friend at once.

If you are following any latest trend on twitter, there is a Twitter search there which keeps you updated in real-time.

The power of tweetdeck lies in column. Have a   look at the screen shot and you will get to know how easy it’s to manage your Twitter account. Tweetdeck is like a twitter messenger, a full screen application.

Few days back I talked about that my Twitter profile not showing in twitter search result. Thanks to Tweetdeck, I was tracking wordcamp event with tweetdeck and then I realize my profile is not showing in Twitter search.

Its cool, its good – no 2 words, but man, it hogs memory like anything :( its good if you have enough memory to waste.

I have been using tweetdeck on my ubuntu linux box for the last many days n I dont find any issues with memory, it takes around ~80 MB of mem on my box…the only thing that I dont like about tweetdeck is that every time I wanna tweet I have to switch to the application when i have my browser window opened infront of me everytime n am reading something important…it puts me off…so I generally dont use it when I have just got to use it for the sake of tweeting.

I recently switched from Tweetdeck to Seemic. Mainly because it allowed me to comment to Facebook updates directly from the client. Its really nice, has all the features I need and is under active developement (check out the future features list on their website).
