The other ways in link exchange is Three-way linking and One-way linking.

Buying links from popular sites:

This could be hard for a newbie blogger, but yet still its brings you traffic to your site. Here you need to contact the person of a popular blog, and advertise your link through banner or a direct link on his site. If you are going to buy links to your site, then make it look simple and natural, other wise Google may penalize you.

Guest posting:

This is the best way of getting links to your site with less of stupidity. If you are very good in writing or publishing your post, then write on a topic and let it be unique and publish it on a very popular site. If approved you’ll get a massive amount of traffic, which you wouldn’t have imagined. Just as in life, guest posting always works nice and easy.

Forum posting:

If you are about to use this method by getting links to your site through forums, then you can get a list of Dofollow forums. You can insert your link as signature and every comment you make inside the forum, can fetch you backlink.

    I suggest you to remove Buying links word from this article. Google is not at all happy with buying links thing. John chow got banned from Google search engine for years because he was openly promoting buying links word.

    I think buying links is not good. Google might penalize the buyer and seller of the link also.

      Yes, buying links is harmful for search engines, but useful for your blog, which is the most that matters to you?

    Nice post Suraj. But In my POV link exchanges is somewhat risky in link building process. It can degrade your site if you’re not 100% sure about the site with which you’re exchaning links. I’ve already mentioned those risks in my guest post at SML.

    I’d suggest Guest Posting and engaging in other blogging communities are way better methods than simple link exchanges.

    Do link exchange legally accepted? As I have read some of the SEO articles and widely exchanging links might get some trouble. Is this true?

      Its not perfectly legally accepted, but mostly every does this. And I haven’t heard of anyone got banned.

      Yea . They don’t ban you directly, but google surely penalizes you for this. I came to know about it from a video of matt .
