    Best Google Adsense Alternatives

    by Whiztechy

In online advertising, Adsense is one of the biggest giant. Getting an approved adsense account is not very easy and the real problem comes in when Google bans your Google Adsense account. The only solution then is to start looking for some of the best Google Adsense alternatives.

Honestly, all the advertising sites mentioned here are not better than Google Adsense but depending upon your niche and site traffic, some alternative sites for Adsense like Chitika, BuySellAds works better. Before, we move ahead, Adsense is a contextual ad networking and where all all Google adsense alternatives site mentioned below are not contxtual ad program. For example, BuySellads is a Sponsored tweet and Direct advertising program and similarly Infolinks is a text link program.

We have already talked about why adsense is the best advertisement program for bloggers and followed up with Google adsense in budding bloggers blog..

Getting Google Adsense approval is a dream for bloggers. But if you fail to get approval or get rejected because of some reason, don’t get frustrated because this article will help you to see all Google adsense alternatives to earn money online. But before choosing an alternative to Google Adsense, check out what kind of traffic you are generating to your blog.

    Best alternative to Adsense:

    1. BuySellAds:

BuySellAds is one of the alternatives to Google Adsense. As soon as you submit your blog to BuySellAds, it will automatically fetch up your blog stats which includes PR, Alexa rank , Technorati, Del.Icio.us, Yahoo inbound links etc. For getting an approval for BuySellAds , your site should have a decent Traffic. As soon as your site gets an approval, you can setup an area on your blog for BuySellAds and wait for advertisers to bid.

    Buysellads

    2. Chitika:

Chitika is a CPC product oriented program. I like Chitika because of two reasons. Firstly, it always places relevant ads based on the content, which helps you to get more click. Secondly, you can edit text color, URL color, border color to blend with your blog format. You can also choose for their referral program, to earn extra income.

    3. Infolinks:

Infolinks is one of the best In-line text ads programs, I won’t say its an alternative to Google adsense but It’s good for high traffic blog. You can see its performance in shoutmeloud  monthly income report.  It is easy to setup and provides relevant ads to your blog which helps you to increase the clicks. As it is an In-line text, so your visitors won’t get distracted because of advertisements. You can find a quick review about infolinks here.

    4. Kontera:

Kontera is another In-line text program. Approval of your blog in kontera needs good page impression for your blog. Kontera has good customer support and pays on time. But I found that Kontera ads might slow down loading time of your blog.

    kontera

    5. Adbrite:

Adbrite allows you to setup your Ad space price on weekly basis, monthly basis etc. You have authority to choose or reject any advertisement for your blog; this helps you to choose advertisement relevant to your blog. You can even change the style of advertisement according to your blog format.

    adbrite

There are many more alternatives to Google adsense, but I added only couple of them. If you looking for contextual ads only, you can also try Bidvertisers, which is said to be working good for many bloggers.

Anyways, do let us know what other ad programs would you list as Google Adsense alternatives you will recommend to others? Which one you have used and which ad program worked for you the most?

    Good Indian Ad Network… Hmmmmm

Have you looked into the Guruji ad network?? It requires you to have an Indian site meaning for the Indians specially..

    Reply

    Puneet Jain

Guruji Sucks, thats what I have heard from some of my friends. I have not used it though, and no plans to use it also

    Reply

    NpXp

That is not what I have heard from other people who are using it. But anyways you can go for Adbrite, it’s good as long as your impression count is huge.

Apart from this I do not see anything specifically made for Indians that would prove good for the publisher,

    What’s wrong with adsense anyways??

    Ruchi

Puneet you can try out Tyroo.

but there are some Pakistani site too using guruji network… Funmaza.com and apniisp.com…

    Only info links work better.
Buy-sell ads is only for tech type of blog.
When you refer to alternative, it should be meant to open for all blog. Hence buy sell ads can’t be there in the list.
Chitika is good only if you have traffic from USA/Canada.
I used Kontera but earning was pretty low comparing to infolinks
Adbrite is good however it does not have ads suitable for Indian Visitors. Comparing to adbrite, Antventure is giving better result.
If you don’t use infolinks, then I will recommend to use adbrites in-text ads with banner and full page ad. Adbrite full page ads have higher page ecpm

In my experience, there is no alternative in the real sense of the word to Google Adsense. Why?

Adbrite 90% of the time displays Advertise Here. Their network of advertisers is very limited.

Kontera has a wonderful talent of slowing your site down to a crawl. And you need virtually millions of clicks to make the minimum payout.

Infolinks also requires you have millions of clicks to make anything worth calling money.

Chitika is cool, but I am getting disillusioned with their prices. There are times when I get 8 clicks for a value of $0.06!

I have not tried BuySell ads yet. So IMHO, Google Adsense simply has no alternative for small to medium scale blogs. If you have an account there, safe guard it well and play by Google’s rules.

You will be glad you did! Thanks!

Thanks! This list comes in handy right about now as I am starting to look for advertisers. I randomly found buysellads not too long & was wondering about them. What do you think of contacting advertisers directly?

    Reply

    Ruchi

It’s always good to get direct advertisement , at least you don’t have to pay huge commission to Ad networking websites.

I would personally recommend first 3. They are the best alternative to adsense.

BuySellAds is a great ad network but it could improve itself much more if they reduce their percentage share though I agree they are helping to bring advertisers to the blog from their directory but still I would recommend them some decrease in their percentage share.

InfoLinks is really Best. I don’t have much words to say about it. It really Rox.

Chitika is a good alternative only if you have good amount of US search visitors but I think there had been some changes by the introduction of Chitika Select..So things might improve more with that technology.

Never gave much time to Kontera on my blog for monetizing..So can’t comment on it.

Would never recommend Adbrite..It’s CPC sux like hell..May be good for forums(porn, warez specially)..

    Reply

    Ruchi

Thanks for adding your views Typhoon. BuySellAds can go to far but they have to change few of their policies like selection of blogs, commission rates etc.

    Reply

    Qasim @ TechieCore.com

In my opinion Adsense is the best and way ahead of all these alternatives… :)

    Reply

Agree with you Qasim, none of them can beat Adsense . Above are the ones which you can use to earn extra income.

I tried it some months back and they were not showing targeted ads. This is the main problem with them. Thats why tech bloggers never like Adbrite.

I just don’t understand why you suggest in-text ads like infolinks and kontera next to Adsense. Though those are still under CPC program, but I think it’s better to suggest programs similar to Adsense like that of Bidvertiser and Adbrite. After all, Adsense is still the best when it comes to CPC. Anyway, thanks for this post.

I think infolinks is next big to adsense. Still it pays really low. But when you have lot of traffic you get decent from infolinks. Some times we get really well in infolinks too. and bidvertizers has no related ads except make money. etc..

I agree these are the leaders in the Advertising networks…but does anyone know which network I can use along with Adsense .. ;) as a second source of revenue?

And ya leaving Infolinks and Chitika…I already used them

    Reply

    Tinh

I have tried all of them but only Chitika Premium help me generate more money, the other like BSA did not help much. Thanks

    Youngistaan

I had been using 4 options since 1 year. I never use Buysellads programs but about easy money. You can’t left adsense. Chitika pays only when someone click from U.S. or U.K.
Kontera didn’t pay much like adsense.
Infolinks what to say sometimes they didn’t pay of clicks. And sometimes they pay 10 cent on 15 click. Now what is the calculation ?
And about Adbrite, You can find there ads many time then any other advertisement.

If you are thinking for easy money. Adsense is a best way to make. But i feel to left it. It sucks.

Infolinks is the only real ppc alternative I’ve come across but it’s a good alternative – sometimes even paying as much as Adsense.

Adbrite has given me such pathetic cpc that it’s a joke. I typically had something like 17 clicks pay $ 0.02.

Buysellads couldn’t find any ads for my niche so they earned me nothing.

Chitika also couldn’t find anything. Hence ZERO.

Chlicksor hardly ever finds any advertiser for me but when it does, the pay is not too bad.
