    Best Google Adsense Alternatives

    By in Make Money online

    Bluehost hosting

When it comes to making money from blog, Adsense is one of the best blog monetization program. I have already shared my Adsense earnings for 4 years, which will give you an idea, how much you can earn from Adsense. Creating an AdSense account, and getting approval is not very easy, and specially for a newbie blogger, it’s tough. The real problem comes in when Google bans your Google Adsense account. The only solution then is to start looking for some of the best Google Adsense alternatives.

Honestly, all the advertising sites mentioned here are not better than Google Adsense but depending upon your niche and site traffic, few AdSense alternative sites like Chitika, BuySellAds works better. Before, we move ahead, Adsense is a contextual ad networking and where all all Google adsense alternatives site mentioned below are not contxtual ad program. For example, BuySellads offers direct advertisement platform, and similarly Infolinks is In-text link program.

We have already talked about why adsense is the best advertisement program for bloggers and followed up with Google adsense in budding bloggers blog..

Getting Google Adsense approval is a dream for bloggers. But if you fail to get approval or get rejected because of some reason, don’t get frustrated because this article will help you to see all Google adsense alternatives to earn money online. But before choosing an alternative to Google Adsense, check out what kind of traffic you are generating to your blog.

    Best alternative to Adsense:

Update: I keep updating list with all the new monetization method which I use, as an Adsense alternative. So, bookmark this page, and keep coming back for finding new blog monetization programs. You should also look into Viglink, which is one of the program , that I used recently and I loved it.

    1. BuySellAds:

BuySellAds is one of the alternatives to Google Adsense. As soon as you submit your blog to BuySellAds, it will automatically fetch up your blog stats which includes PR, Alexa rank , Technorati, Del.Icio.us, Yahoo inbound links etc. For getting an approval for BuySellAds , your site should have a decent Traffic. As soon as your site gets an approval, you can setup an area on your blog for BuySellAds and wait for advertisers to bid.

    2. Chitika:

Chitika is a CPC product oriented program. I like Chitika because of two reasons. Firstly, it always places relevant ads based on the content, which helps you to get more click. Secondly, you can edit text color, URL color, border color to blend with your blog format. You can also choose for their referral program, to earn extra income.

    3. Infolinks:

Infolinks is one of the best In-line text ads programs, I won’t say its an alternative to Google adsense but It’s good for high traffic blog. You can see its performance in shoutmeloud  monthly income report.  It is easy to setup and provides relevant ads to your blog which helps you to increase the clicks. As it is an In-line text, so your visitors won’t get distracted because of advertisements. You can find a quick review about infolinks here.

    4. Kontera:

Kontera is another In-line text program. Approval of your blog in kontera needs good page impression for your blog. Kontera has good customer support and pays on time. But I found that Kontera ads might slow down loading time of your blog.

    kontera Best Google Adsense Alternatives

Kontera requires you to have minimum balance in your account as $50 to become eligible for payout. Here is the payout cycle of Kontera:

    • October Earnings–Paid in January
    • November Earnings–Paid in February
    • December Earnings–Paid in March
    • January Earnings–Paid in April
    • February Earnings–Paid in May
    • March Earnings–Paid in June
    • April Earnings–Paid in July
    • May Earnings–Paid in August
    • June Earnings–Paid in September
    • July Earnings–Paid in October
    • August Earnings–Paid in November
    • September Earnings–Paid in December

    5. Adbrite: (Update: Adbrite shuts down. More update here)

Adbrite allows you to setup your Ad space price on weekly basis, monthly basis etc. You have authority to choose or reject any advertisement for your blog; this helps you to choose advertisement relevant to your blog. You can even change the style of advertisement according to your blog format.

    adbrite Best Google Adsense Alternatives

These are just some of the close and best alternatives to Adsense. Though if your adsense is disabled, the best way to cover the Adsense earning is by keeping a mixture of two or more Ad network. For example, along with contextual ad use Infolinks or Viglink. You can also use Luminate to monetize your blog images as they use Adsense ads in the images. If you looking for contextual ads only, you can also try Bidvertisers, which is said to be working good for many bloggers.

Anyways, do let us know what other ad programs would you list as Google Adsense alternatives you will recommend to others? Which one you have used and which ad program worked for you the most?

    Good Indian Ad Network… Hmmmmm

Have you looked into the Guruji ad network?? It requires you to have an Indian site meaning for the Indians specially..

    Puneet Jain

Guruji Sucks, thats what I have heard from some of my friends. I have not used it though, and no plans to use it also

    Reply

    NpXp

That is not what I have heard from other people who are using it. But anyways you can go for Adbrite, it’s good as long as your impression count is huge.

Apart from this I do not see anything specifically made for Indians that would prove good for the publisher,

    What’s wrong with adsense anyways??

    Ruchi

Puneet you can try out Tyroo.

    Qasim

but there are some Pakistani site too using guruji network… Funmaza.com and apniisp.com…

    Only info links work better.
Buy-sell ads is only for tech type of blog.
When you refer to alternative, it should be meant to open for all blog. Hence buy sell ads can’t be there in the list.
Chitika is good only if you have traffic from USA/Canada.
I used Kontera but earning was pretty low comparing to infolinks
Adbrite is good however it does not have ads suitable for Indian Visitors. Comparing to adbrite, Antventure is giving better result.
If you don’t use infolinks, then I will recommend to use adbrites in-text ads with banner and full page ad. Adbrite full page ads have higher page ecpm

In my experience, there is no alternative in the real sense of the word to Google Adsense. Why?

Adbrite 90% of the time displays Advertise Here. Their network of advertisers is very limited.

Kontera has a wonderful talent of slowing your site down to a crawl. And you need virtually millions of clicks to make the minimum payout.

Infolinks also requires you have millions of clicks to make anything worth calling money.

Chitika is cool, but I am getting disillusioned with their prices. There are times when I get 8 clicks for a value of $0.06!

I have not tried BuySell ads yet. So IMHO, Google Adsense simply has no alternative for small to medium scale blogs. If you have an account there, safe guard it well and play by Google’s rules.

You will be glad you did! Thanks!

Thanks! This list comes in handy right about now as I am starting to look for advertisers. I randomly found buysellads not too long & was wondering about them. What do you think of contacting advertisers directly?

    Reply

    Ruchi

It’s always good to get direct advertisement , at least you don’t have to pay huge commission to Ad networking websites.

I would personally recommend first 3. They are the best alternative to adsense.

BuySellAds is a great ad network but it could improve itself much more if they reduce their percentage share though I agree they are helping to bring advertisers to the blog from their directory but still I would recommend them some decrease in their percentage share.

InfoLinks is really Best. I don’t have much words to say about it. It really Rox.

Chitika is a good alternative only if you have good amount of US search visitors but I think there had been some changes by the introduction of Chitika Select..So things might improve more with that technology.

Never gave much time to Kontera on my blog for monetizing..So can’t comment on it.

Would never recommend Adbrite..It’s CPC sux like hell..May be good for forums(porn, warez specially)..

Thanks for adding your views Typhoon. BuySellAds can go to far but they have to change few of their policies like selection of blogs, commission rates etc.

I just don’t understand why you suggest in-text ads like infolinks and kontera next to Adsense. Though those are still under CPC program, but I think it’s better to suggest programs similar to Adsense like that of Bidvertiser and Adbrite. After all, Adsense is still the best when it comes to CPC. Anyway, thanks for this post.

I think infolinks is next big to adsense. Still it pays really low. But when you have lot of traffic you get decent from infolinks. Some times we get really well in infolinks too. and bidvertizers has no related ads except make money. etc..

I had been using 4 options since 1 year. I never use Buysellads programs but about easy money. You can’t left adsense. Chitika pays only when someone click from U.S. or U.K.
Kontera didn’t pay much like adsense.
Infolinks what to say sometimes they didn’t pay of clicks. And sometimes they pay 10 cent on 15 click. Now what is the calculation ?
And about Adbrite, You can find there ads many time then any other advertisement.

If you are thinking for easy money. Adsense is a best way to make. But i feel to left it. It sucks.

Infolinks is the only real ppc alternative I’ve come across but it’s a good alternative – sometimes even paying as much as Adsense.

Adbrite has given me such pathetic cpc that it’s a joke. I typically had something like 17 clicks pay $ 0.02.

Buysellads couldn’t find any ads for my niche so they earned me nothing.

Chitika also couldn’t find anything. Hence ZERO.

Chlicksor hardly ever finds any advertiser for me but when it does, the pay is not too bad.

Adage.com is also good.As far as Chitika is concerned I have had an experienced that there payout is too minimum and even if you have traffic there payout is really to poor and the worst is that that there ads does not show in many third world countries

How about Clicksor (I think you missed it dear in your post )D)
It works better than others in many ways although its not very high paying but not toooo less . If you have reasonable visitors on your site you can use clicksor along with other suitable networks…They accept bloggers as well.

If you google goviralnetwork you may find they have been bought by AOL and might think they are a big resputable company.

I have heard of some people that they are ok but paying too low.

But the majority of people I talked to, and I can confirm that from my own experience, says they are SCAM.

They will deactivate your account without reason after a few month and not pay you, wich means as they always pay a month late, you loose 2 month of revenue.

If you email them you dont get any response, or you get an automatic email that the person you are mailing to doesn’t work for them any more …

If you have a counter on your side, you will see that the pageviews that you count, and their “impressions” never match up
    these goviralnetwork guys cheat.

    Avoid them like cancer!

Adsense is still the best. Many people tried to earn quick money by putting multiple ad networks, result, Google ban most adsense accounts. Don’t judge it by high traffic sites like Shoutmeloud or any other websites who are oldie enough and getting high traffic. If you are new and 100 or less unique visitors every day, try to improve the blog rather go for earning channels. Lots of complain regarding Google adsense banned account have been already registered in Adsense forum. Adbrite is one prevalent channel, another one is infolink..moreover, infolink text ads are quite irritating, its like reading ads rather info.

As my blog is only 4 months old and it has only 1000 unique visitors a day and therefore i still not applied for Google adsense though i will try them later with few more visitors.
can you please add some reviews about Indian ad networks, i want to try any Indian ad network to my blog as it has around 75% traffic from India. I have heard about some Indian ad networks like Admaya and AdsforIndians but i have found very bad reviews about them and therefore i am bit confused whether to try them or not .

If you have traffic from U.S, you should try Media.net which is a good alternative. (Review)
If you link out to money pages on other sites (Ex: Amazon, iPhone Apps and so on), you should try Viglink which is great.
Do try them and let me know which one works for you..

I will be honest – I ditched ClickBank and AdSense altogether from my blog….reason being there are too many merchants who’s products and services either get banned or leave ClickBank and as for AdSense, it gives visitors to your website another route to click and leave your site. If you have affiliate programs and products already on your site, you are guaranteed to make more money with them than through AdSense, unless your are driving some serious traffic. As for InfoLinks, it just looks spammy and the keywords and ads that appear are not targeted most the time. I personally say just do away with ads and ad networks and focus on affiliate programs to monetize your blog that have one or few solid products to offer, because like I mentioned, you will make more money that way.
