When I was hunting for an application which decides whom to unfollow, I came to know about TheTwitCleaner. According to what the website says, here is what can TheTwitCleaner do:

  • Analyses the people you follow
  • Finds time wasters, spammers, the boring, bots etc…
  • Creates a detailed report of everyone you’re following
  • Increases the authenticity of your brand or personal image (by showing discretion)
  • Helps you clear up the ‘background noise’ of Twitter
  • Helps you focus your time & energy
  • Click the Scan me now button in the home page of TwitCleaner, authenticate the application by logging in to twitter. Click rerun the report, after that @TwitCleaner will send a Direct Message to your twitter account with a link in that. Click that link and it will redirect you to a webpage which shows how many of the tweeps that you follow are potentially garbage.

    Summary

    Summary

I think manageflitter.com is a better option. You can unfollow based on different options like no profile image, not following back, not being active and so on.

Now, I find both to be different. Managefitter helps to instantly unfollow multiple profiles. Also, you don’t need to wait for their DM. However, twitcleaner has more lists like nothing but links.

Depends on how many people you follow.
I followed only 29 people when i took the scan, so it took just a few seconds to DM me.

    Hey looks cool.

But I am very careful already when it comes to following people. I only follow if I am genuinely interested in it.

    Kindest,

Great You Have Classified Me As A Spammer :( Now i Have to Stop Using Buzzom So that It Does Not Tweet The Same Link All the Time :)

And If You Have unfollowed me because of this then think again :D i am not a spammer :) it was Buzzom :(

Btw You Have Given Me A Permanent Twitter Profile Picture on Shoutmeloud … Hope this help me gain few visits on my twitter profile and few followers too :P

Interesting tool to explore. I use refollow but this one worth a try especially for the only linky-shares or very few tweets people.

    Cheers,
