After the release of WordPress 3.0, I upgraded most of my blogs to latest 3.0. Most of
blogs in our blog network is using Thesis theme and I was browsing through wordpress support forum, I realize many people are facing different issues after upgrading to WordPress 3.0. Mostly the issue is with WordPress theme compatibility or plugin issues. So far I found two plugins giving me issue: Smooth slider and Google XML sitemap plugin. Google Xml sitemap plugin is giving issue, when I enabled networking feature in WordPress 3.0.
For those who are looking forward to upgrade their blog to WordPress 3.0, and are using Thesis WordPress theme, you won’t face any existing issue apart from you can’t access Thesis file editor from Dashboard. Though if you using FTP client to access and edit your custom.css and custom function file of Thesis, you won’t face any issue.
So if you are a Thesis theme user and looking forward to upgrade your blog to latest WordPress 3.0, you can move ahead and upgrade your blog to latest version.
Do let us know, did you face any problem after upgrading WordPress to the latest version?

There is a problem With thesis 1.7. After upgrading to wordpress 3.0 my Thesis 1.7 custom file editor was not working. But i found the solution for it and it is working fine now.
mmm.. thought you will tell about the solution .. but you didn’t.. do you care to share?!
A Solution for the Thesis User .i.e. if your Wordpress 3.0 is not giving access to the Custom Editor Option, then Use the “Thesis Open Hook” Plugin.
Think Hatke! Lol..
I don’t think this is a good solution, I have removed the “Thesis Open Hook” completely from my blog, and I don’t I will use it anymore! I prefer FTP!
Thanks a lot for the tip. I’m using Thesis and I have been waiting to upgrade.

thanks for the tip I am also using thesis.
I am upgrading to Wordpress 3.0 and then plan to add Thesis. I am using dbc-backup first to back up the database. I created the main backup file and an empty (0 bytes) index.html file in the backup file folder. Questions:
1. Why was the empty index.html created on backup?
2. Do I deactivate the dbc-backup when doing the update and erase current backup files?
3. If I have to recover, how do I recover from dbc-backup files?
4. Do I keep all my posts and comments when I install Thesis? Does it fold in like other themes but then you configure it?
Not sure if it’s related to the Wordpress 3.0 upgrade, but in Firefox 3.6.x my blog is now too wide, as though the browser isn’t seeing the column-width specs. No similar problem in Chrome or IE8.
D.c this could be because of your theme might not be 3.0 compatible or may be some CSS bug.
Guess what! I found this page while I was searching for the thesis-related
