When I started my Blogging career, Dreamhost was very first choice that I opted for. Here I will be sharing a step by step guide for newbie to get start with WordPress on Dreamhost. Before, we move ahead, I will let you know the reason why I opted for Dreamhost:
- It’s compatible with Latest WordPress
- It’s cheap
- Offer free domain
I remember paying $50 for one year hosting + free domain name with who.is guard, which was good enough for any newbie to get start at cheap. Dreamhost offers two week risk-free acount, so you can grab one account without paying and if you not happy with their service, you can cancel it anytime.
You can use coupon code “SML50” to get $50 off when you sign up for Dreamhost. So, I assume this is enough to get you started and lets get it straight to the topic: WordPress installation on Dreamhost server.
People like me who started blogging via Blogspot find it hard to migrate to WordPress. More over they feel that getting into WordPress and setting it up would be tough, but the fact is if you know how to work on your laptop/computer you can easily start playing with WordPress.
I have already spoken about my amazing experience with dreamhost and WordPress quite lots of time, and I’m glad that many of you moved to wordpress after reading my post.
If you planning to grab any hosting, I will suggest try dreamhost you will love it. Some of the reasons why I love dreamhost
- Dreamhost 50$ discount coupon <Valid till Dec 2012)

The process is almost same for every host. Since I’m using Dreamhost, so I prefer keeping it simple and titled as wordpress installation on dreamhost hosting.

I also looking for hosting a self domain in WP but i don’t know how to do that so i am commenting here i think u can help me …..
Well registering domain is like buying a name for your blog or website. You can easily search for a domain name at very place. Domain name for a year will cost you 10$ and then come the hosting. Hosting is the place where all your files will be stored. Like in blogspot, which is powered by Google servers. In this case I’m talking about dreamhost hosting service. Which I use.
Its easy to buy a free domain along with a hosting from dreamhost. I’m talking about dreamhost because of my experience with it.
For one year it will cost u 69$.
Let me know if u need more help or want me to set up wordpress for you on remote.
You can sign up for dreamhost here .
