I assume this is enough to get you started, and let’s get it straight to the topic: WordPress installation on Dreamhost server. Once you sign up with DreamHost, your login and FTP server details you will receive on the Email address you specified. Keep them handy which will be useful when you upload files on your server.
How to Install WordPress on Dreamhost Hosting?
Login to your DreamHost web panel. On the homepage click on One click installs
Click on One Installs & here you will get options to Install WordPress or any other software of your choice.
Click on WordPress & Dreamhost Custom one click installer will prompt you to select the domain, where you want to install WordPress. Do remember, Your Dreamhost account let you host unlimited websites.
Do keep the check-box select for option Deluxe One-Click Install. This will auto-install essential plugins such as Jetpack, Akismet, WP Super cache. It also automatically secure your uploads folder. Click on Install it for me now. This will start installing WordPress on your domain name & In few minutes you will receive an Email on your account stating that Successfully installed WordPress on your account. Just follow the email where you need to create an admin account for your WordPress blog.
Note: At times it takes more than 5 minutes for the email to reach you. Instead of waiting, simply open the domain name in a browser tab & you would see a screen like below for your WordPress Setup.
