Few months back I talked about “Spotm” the new social networking website from yahoo.

Though yahoo already have groups like Yahoo! groups for discussion but an article from Hindustan times confirmed that SpotM ( Social networking site ) will be launched in this year to compete the other social networking counter part orkut and Facebook. Not to forget that according to recent statistics orkut is the most famous success as a social networking site in India.

According to the Hindustan times the website will be cater to Indian users and very soon it launch it’s beta version.

Though you can visit the site and enter your Email address to recieve a beta invitation from website as soon as it will be launched.

Like I mentioned in my previous post here that two major difference that SpotM will have:

Secret friends and SMS integration.

You can visit the SpotM website here and enroll for a beta invite right now.

And do leave your opinion about Is India ready for another social networking sites after Facebook and Orkut?
