Spice Up Your Firefox with Amazing Skins

Mozilla Firefox is my first choice over any other browser in my day-to-day surfing tasks. The simple reason behind this is its simple interface combined with great functionality and addons.

I started using Firefox since it was in version 1.0.8  and as days passed it went improving a lot making its way to the current 3.5.5 th version. During this improvement path its basic concept remain the same and that is why I like it without any need to look for another web browser’s out there.

Firefox can be customized with specific functionality add ons as well as with themes and skins. Today when I was searching for an amazing looking theme to customize my Firefox I came across an add on Personas. According to the creators Personas is nothing but skins for Mozilla Firefox.

They say,

Personas are lightweight, easy-to-install and easy-to-change “skins” for your Firefox web browser.

As it is related to what I was looking for, I decided to give it a try. I installed Personas through the website and restarted Firefox. After the restart, it automatically took me to the page where we can choose our design and apply it on Firefox.

Personas add-on also enables us to preview the skin by temporarily activating it on the current window when we hover the mouse pointer over a skin. This features helps us to actually view a skin without installing it first and the need to reinstall a skin very often if we don’t like it.

To change skin of your Firefox follow these steps :
Install the Personas add-on here.
After the install, Firefox will restart and automatically open up the add-on homepage.

1. Go to the Skin Gallery page.
2. Choose your design and click on it to open a page with a preview of the skin following with a text “Wear it”.
3. Click on Wear it.
4. Whoa, you just dressed up Firefox with new clothes.
