It is common practise by spammer to embed viruses and malware on a website to infect various computer worldwide.
The big news now is spammer are using Obama fake websites and emails to spread malware.
Fake obama news website
Trend Micro researchers found that various websites which is mostly hosted on domain that contains keyword like Obama is being used to spread malware.
Apart from website method spammer are using email method to spamming people mail box.
The mail subject and message look something like this
Subject : What will be with our country?
Message: Barack Obama is not ready to be a president [link]. Yours sincerely, [name]
The link is supposed to lead to a fake Obama news site and which leads to download of a worm known as WORM_WALEDAC.KAX.
Worm WORM_WALEDAC.KAX have the capability of sending emails from infected computer using HTTP post method and also have the capability of opening ports on the infected computers which might enable spammer to invoke any remote command on the system.
