Many adsense sites are not opening in Internet Explorer. If you try to open these websites with in IE, you’ll get the “Internet Explorer Cannot Open Internet Site” error.
![[Solution] Adsense Bug Cant Open Sites in IE](http://www.shoutmeloud.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/adsense-bug-in-ie.jpg?4a2793)
You can see users reporting this error on webmasterworld, and at official google adsense help forum.
Google does not have any offcial response on this issue yet but I am sure that they are working on resolving this issue as soon as possible. But until then, lets see how it can affect us as publishers and reader.
For Adsense Publishers
If you are running a website that is monetized by adsense, then try to open the home page, the single post page and the static page (about, contact etc.) in IE7 and IE8 to check if your site has this issue. This is important because you may be loosing revenue due to less IE visitors because of this bug. And you should not ignore the IE users as, depending upon your target visitors demography, it may be as high as 70% or more!
If you do not see the warning shown above, then rest assured. If, however, you do see this warning, then do two things,
1. Immediately start a new thread on official adsense forum and explain the issue clearly. Someone from adsense team will get in touch with you to help you resolve this issue.
2. Until you get an official reply from adsense, try turning off any third-party ads that you may be running on your site. If turning off the third-party ads resolves this issue then it clearly means that adsense ads and those specific third part ads are mutually incompatible. In this case, use either one of them that gives you maximum revenue, and turn off the other one permanently.
For Readers
If you see this warning while visiting your favorite blog then do two things,
1. Use another browser to access the website. This issue is only limited to IE so you will be able to access the site easily from any other browser.
2. While you are at the website in an alternative browser, immediately inform the website’s owner about the issue. Also send him the link to this article while contacting him so that he can resolve this issue quickly. This is the least you can do for someone who has been creating great quality content for months, or perhaps, years.

wow!
Usually prefer firefox..IE has got too many issues with javascript, jQuery and now adsense.
Firefox and chrome are way too cooler than IE.
Its not the question of our choice here. Most blogger prefer Firefox. But you can’t ignore readers who use IE or you will loose a big chunk of your adsense pie.
Your absolutely right Mayur! Because as per the statistics, 65-70% people are stills using Internet Explorer and we should really take this issue (adsense bug) seriously and try to solve if it exists in our sites. Thanks for your guidance.

this article will help me….
Yes, you’ll be able to get rid of this bug if you follow the two tips I mentioned above. But do share your experience with us.
Few weeks back I was having problem with the digg button and Internet explorer. Some how I managed to solve the problem. Now another one with Internet explorer! Pretty sad. Anyways thanks for the solution.
Thanks dude! I usually don’t check on anything other than Firefox and Chrome. Safari sometimes. I’ll get my site through the test ASAP!
