It is such an immense pleasure to announce that Shoutmeloud got Google Sitelinks. You must be wondering what is Google Sitelinks?
Google sitelinks is automatically picked up links from your blog and website and it appears in the search result of your blog name. Here is a screenshot which will make things more clear :
The minimum and maximum number of sitelinks that can appear for any blog is 2 and 8 respectively. Right now we have 7 sitelinks in the search engine. Thanks to Himanshu who has been actively contributing into shoutmeloud with his amazing posts and notifying me about the latest Sitelinks update. Though Google official blog doesn’t provide much input on sitelinks, they have mentioned in the blog :
Our process for generating Sitelinks is completely automated. We show them when we think they’ll be most useful to searchers, saving them time from hunting through web pages to find the information they are looking for. Over time, we may look for ways to incorporate input from webmasters too.
The major benefit of getting sitelinks is It builds Trust and helps in branding. Though sitelinks generally depend on the number of clicks you are getting from search engine and luckily most of Shoutmeloud traffic is from Search engine. If you don’t know, you can manage what needs to be shown in sitelinks via Google Webmasters tool. I have been doing that for quite sometime now.
