Learning SEO takes time, and for a newbie blogger it usually happens after 6-8 month of blogging, the have to follow standard SEO procedure to ensure high ranking in search engine. One of the simplest and key search engine ranking factor is Meta Title and Meta description. Both are part of On-page optimization, and you must be adding Keywords in your title and meta description. Chances are; you might have started adding SEO values after the couple of months, and many of your old posts are still without SEO values or is not optimized well for search engines.
One way is to, edit all old posts meta values one by one, which will take a lot of time. Today, I will be talking about SEO extended WordPress plugin, which is more like an extension for WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin.
How to use SEO Extended WordPress plugin?
SEO Extended plugin works with WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin, and it helps in editing all meta title and meta descriptions, from one page. This will not only be the time saver but will ensure that none of your blog post is without key factor for better ranking in search engine. This plugin is very simple to use, and all you need to do is, install the plugin and activate it. Now, you can Edit Meta Title or Meta descriptions of all the posts from one page. Go to SEO > Bulk Title editor or Bulk Description editor to start editing:
As shown in above screenshot, you can quickly do few things like:
- Add meta description for empty meta descriptions.
- Replace old meta description with the new one.
- Similarly, you can do the same thing for meta title
Your job is to make your post more search engine friendly, and write a better call to action meta-description to increase CTR from the search engine.
At this moment, this plugin lacks few features like live character count, but we will have it soon in the upcoming version of this plugin. Also, upcoming versions will be compatible with All in one SEO plugin. This plugin is certainly very helpful for those blogs, who is using SEO by Yoast, and have many old posts, which requires keyword targeting. You can’t do much on the content level, but you can always improve the title and description part to improve the over all SEO score of the post.

For the record, here are few things to keep in mind:
- Meta Title Length: Keep it fewer than 70 characters.
- Meta description length: Keep it fewer than 156 characters.
- Always add your target keywords in Meta title and Meta description
