Reliance is the worse costumer service provider in Gurgaon, you keep complaining and complaining and there is nobody to hear. There is no response from anywhere, sales team, installation team and technical team ,all are deaf. You cannot imagine your business while taking connection, nobody from there cares about it. Idont think whatever theyare saying about this 3.1 MB data card is feasible in this working environment.

Purchased reliance broadband data card in Delhi (online). Stopped functioning just after 3 days of use. They offering various excuses and we are made to run to different web world outlets.
Service is not restored till date, guess they want to reduce the unlimited browsing they offered for the initial 2 months.
one buys this kind of product for increasing one’s convenience not to lose it forever.

I am from Rajkot and Use bsnl EVDO, which is hopelessly slow and you can never download a file bigger than 10 MB because of frequent disconnections. [rapidshare free accounts dont allow downloaders :) and shared IP is always an issue ]

After reading this section, i Visited reliance web world they say it will be active in Rajkot in next 15-20 days. I hope to read about user experience of Reliance EVDO, there are some unhappy users but what about speed ? Can anyone share their experience on speed [ customer care may be problem at all places ]

Reliance Netconnect Broadband + is a total fraud. Neither does it ever give the advertised speed of 3 MBPS, nor does it retain the connection more than 15 minutes at a stretch.
I would warn the future buyers, not to buy this card. The max speed which I ever got on this card was 300 kbps only.

The other bigger irritant is the frequent dissconnection of the internet. The connection drops every 10 – 15 minutes. You have to redial again and again….
It is just horrible..
We feel cheated

Reliance customer care is horrible and quite unresponsive , but I am satisfied with the 3.1 mbps modem. tried it in trains and in Lucknow also. worked fine and gave unbroken connectivity. maybe the Huwaii modem is better than ZTE modem. Had a ZTE device earlier and had speed and connectivity issues with it. Huwaii device gives me 3.1 mbs on HSD setting and 230 Kbps on Hybrid setting. for me it worked even in remote villages and small towns.

reliance has the worst customer service one could possibly ever imagine…more into harrassment than service…

had terrible problems with my ZTE modem.. would lose signal and connection every 2 to 3 minutes… reliance admitted they have problems with ZTE and it is now withdrawn from the market…even the second one Huwaei EC168 C is also now withdrawn n they r onto the third…Huwaei EC 1260 …wonder how long they wld be experimenting and making poor customers guinea pigs…

i am also one of the victim of the reliance netconnect i bought the connection at december and i closed the connection on janauary but he never stopped me sending me bill i went to the reliance world again and again but there was just a consolidated response they say “dont worry” its not a problem we will do it right.
finally i got a notice from court to be present before lokadalath i was shocked then i again went to the reliance world the answer was the same finally i have to pay 3000/ rs without any mistake of mine. there are 1000s of people who daily come to the lok adalath daily all are reliance company victims.
The reliance is the biggest frauds i have paid 3000/ rs without any reason the actual fault was the companies but i was the victim.
how do you think that they have the crores this is the reason. Never go to any reliance postpaid or prepaid products. this is a kind request to all indians never buy these frauds products

Naveen It’s sad to hear that. Though my 2 cents on it, you should have asked Reliance guys to give a written clarification about this earlier. Since verbal communication is never termed as legal documentation.
For others, if you have ever faced such situation, I will suggest go for some written confirmation from them.

I am not sure where to go from here. EC1260 does not install on Vista 32 bit Enterprise. Doesn’t recognize the USB as a model. Have called Reliance customer care so many times that I have a log of my own. Many many promises but no follow up. The agents don’t have any links with the back end team (apparently technical) and back end team only talked about dispatching the technician to my location rather than trying to fix the issue. Everybody in customer care tells me they are escalating the issue but no one acts on it. Its 3500 Rs money down the drain, please don’t buy this product if you have Windows Vista 32 bits or otherwise. They are not set up to handle customer service. Pathetic.. pathetic… pathetic.

Anyone with suggestions / experience on Tata Photon?

I am giving up on RCOM.

Its just waste of my hard earned money. the broadband+ and hybrid modes never connect and give some errors. All i get is 20Kbps speed which too gets disconnected after 15 min.

Folks, PLEASE DONT BUY THIS USELESS THING.

the product is good …..the only problem is the speed ….the maximum speed which i have got till today is 85kbps for browsing…were as while downloading it has reached around 350kbps at night……were as reliance is telling it is 3.1 mbps…..hv been using from 5 months….till date i have not got that much speed

The speed you have mentioned is download speed and NOT downlink speed… If you get 350 kbps download speed, then ur link speed is 350*8=2800 kbps, which is almost near the speed they promise.. Its a nice product and really good for online gaming..

Hi

All

I’ve been through all the comments, did anyone asked Reliance or BSNL, what they are saying Reliance 3.1 mbps, or BSNL 2.0 mbps

Here the trick is what MBPS stands for meba bytes per second ???? is it really

Technically it is Mega bits per second, so 8 bits equal to 1 byte ( 8 bits = 1 byte)

To our calculation 1000 kbps= 1 megabytes
so 3.1 mbps = 3100 kilobytes per second

Now trick is Divide 3100 kbps /8 Mbps (mega bits per second)= 387.5 kbps

So we are gettings 387 to maximum 500 kbps of actual speed

So Innocent buyers Please Clarify the same with Reliance & BSNL

Am sure we are being Cheated

Hello friends,
i don’t know about Reliance 3.1 mbps.
but i am using Bsnl evdo data card. exactly up to the mark.
some times i got more than 2000 kbps(2 mbps).
i want to clarify, i am not bsnl’s employee or any promoter, just normal user from gwalior M.P.
it’s good service for the price….
