Recently we showed you how to take screenshot of any webpage. Now we will show you how you can record video directly from your browser.
Capture Fox is a free extension for Firefox that allows you to quickly make screen casts by capturing video from your screen. You have the option of capturing the entire window or restricting capture to just the Firefox window. You can also specify the output quality – High, Medium or Low. The video recorded is saved as an .avi file (MPEG).

Additionally you can add narration by recording audio from your microphone. To start capturing you need to bring up Capture Fox by pressing Ctrl+Alt+U (or through Tools->Capture Fox). The same key combination can be used to save a captured video. That’s it!
Capture Fox is a no-frills and easy to use option for screen capturing. If you need a more sophisticated solution try CamStudio (Freeware) or Camtasia Studio (Shareware). But if all you need is a basic screen capturing utility, Capture Fox is the perfect solution.

Nice post Pallab, you can also find the feature on an ultimate software Snagit, it has many feature like screen capturing, editing, extracting text from images, add comments on image and lots more.
Yeah. Snagit is also from Techsmith and in the recent versions they have added a small subset of features present in Camtasia Studio to Snagit also. But if screen recording is what you want Camtasia is better suited than Snagit.

Hi and cool post Pallab De
I use CamStudio and like it, maybe I will give Capture Fox a go and see what the outcome is.
Just a side note: I think it would of been cool if you had actually attached a video to this post as an example of the quality we can expect from Capture Fox.
Congrats on your first post.
Thanks George
