Picasa is a free photo management software for your desktop. Earlier months back Picasa web added face recognition feature in its web interface.
With its latest announcement, Picasa released its 3.5 version of software which will have photo name tags and similar face features.
This means, you can easily organize your album now by tagging them with their name. Once you added a tag to some of the pictures, you can quickly tag other pictures with few clicks, by finding similar pictures.
You can read more about this new feature and its functionality on Official Google photos blog.
Check this video to understand more about new Picasa face tagging feature.
Though this new version is not added to auto update for now, so till the time it will be added to auto update of Picasa, you can download it using official homepage.
