From last few days I have been noticing lots of plugins updates and most of them was because of the launch of wordpress 2.7.

Though I was not quite sure that i should upgrade to wordpress 2.7 because of the plugins compatibility issues but after reading lots of great reviews about it I planned to move to WP 2.7.
Upgrading wordpress was not an issue as guide from codex.wordpress was very informative and each and every steps were guided.
Just to keep my self on the safer side I took backup of everything on my server so that I will not face any issue in case of something goes wrong and I must say upgrading WP is a piece of cake.
For people who have not yet upgraded there Wordpress to the latest version they should do it now. I’m sure you going to love the new interface which is as cool as wordpress promised.
If you are unsure about plugins compatibility you can install wordpress locally and then you can move further . You can refer this tutorial from Techpavan on how to install wordpress locally.
