Nokia N97 Review: Social Media Mobile Phone

Few days back we talked about Features that make Nokia n97 Better then apple iPhone, though few days back iPhone announcement of iPhone 3G S, updated lots of features.

2 days back I got the chance to attend the Nokia n 97 bloggers meet here in New Delhi and I personally played around with Nokia n97. Before we start discussing the features of the Nokia N97, Few things :

N97 is a touch screen phone, Unlike Nokia 7710 and 5800, Nokia has come up with a solid build and ergonomics. Though while interviewing one iPhone user, he was not happy with the touch screen functionality of the phone, and mentioned tapping is not very accurate. So a new touch screen user might like it, but from an existing touch screen mobile user point of view, he will rate it 7/10.

What makes Nokia n97 stand apart from Other mobile Phone?

Here are few features of Brand new Nokia n97 which might make your mind to consider this phone:

One of the winning part of Nokia n97 will be it’s style and look. It is a touch screen mobile phone along with QWERTY keyboard. Perhaps one major feature which most of iPhone users miss.

The close competitor for Nokia N97 can be iPhone, the only thing which can put Nokia N97 in the winning position is it’s price. Which does not seems to happening with Market price expectation of 650-750$.

If Price is not over rated I will give Nokia n97 9/10 in terms of its features and capabilities.

Regularly updated firmware so never feel boring with your iPhone

last but not least can you play Need For Speed on your phone. I do

5 Himanshu June 12, 2009 at 20:27: @Vinay I am totally agree with you, iPhone is no doubt uncomparable,the only feature that was missing in the iPhone is nice camera and video recording, and Apple added it in new iPhone 3G S, but still i miss physical QWERTY keyboard in this super gadget which is very important need for any blogger. This point is also discussed in the Nokia bloggers meet by many bloggers.

6 George Serradinho June 13, 2009 at 00:45: The new phones coming out are all fancy and all, but the prices just amaze me. I’m due for an upgrade in less than 6 months and I was looking at a blackberry. My brother had one and it was what I needed for me.

The iPhone and n97, seem to have all the new apps on, but that price just does not justify the phone.

Funny thing is my mom is still using an old phone, about 10 years old. She recons she does not use half the features so why spend $$$ on a new hip phone.

i didnt understand one thing, why did nokia implement kinetic scrolling ONLY on the web browser in n97?
